Drones with large nets conducting a defensive counter-air mission by escorting an armored unit
The escort drones can be controlled by rear command-and-control units, or by dedicated forward drone controllers such as Tank Escorts
- Drone Operator-Infiltrators rely on stealth for survival
- Rearline Drone Command & Control rely on distance & hideouts for survival
- Tank Escorts, as forward Robot Command & Control, rely on armor, UGVs, UAS, & layered C-UAS defense for survival
Tutel armor, when mounted on the turret, allows the turret to rotate more freely, but the added weight would transfer to the turret bearings
If mounted to the hull, heavier armor could be added but might noticably limit the rotation of the turret
Offensive & Defensive counter-air
Infantry & armor would be more survivable if enemy cannot spot & track their movements
One possible way to prevent enemy recon drones from stalking friendlies is with UAS & UGVs conducting defensive & offensive counter-air missions
If prisms & LPVOs are still relevant in drone age, I think they should be made with generous eye box & relief
This allows such optics to be mounted a little bit more forward, which prevents them from interfering with NVGs during passive night-vision aiming with backup red dots
Revealed at the 2024 ShotShow, Model Twelve is US AK-12 clone
The 2024 prototype seems to have a placeholder handguard (A modified Midwest Gen 2 Extended Universal M-LOK AK handguard, perhaps?)
This is how I imagine a milled AK receiver from SAG USA would look
The receiver is one piece with the main chassis mount
It lowers the risk of tolerance issues, as AK receivers from different manufacturers/surplus origins might have varying part dimensions & fitment tolerances
I think AK-12 has promising rail cover design, but without strong QC & laser-focus on tolerances, the build can be ruined
I think "chassis"-like solutions are still the optimal way to mount optics on most AK/SVD systems
Chassis rails allow maintenance without removing optics
Hammer fitting/pinned chassis designs across various AK families are something I'd like to see being experimented on

Hammer fit/force fit is assembly method that requires the user to use hammer/force to properly install AK parts
Some AK lower handguards rely on this method to ensure durability
I personally see it as an interesting way to achieve pseudo "monolithic" receiver from two parts
What if @Sureshot_USA designed a chassis for the AK-12/AK-19
