AFRICAN ACTION CONGRESS (AAC) PRESS STATEMENT For Immediate Release 7 November 2026 TINUBU’S GOVERNMENT OF IMPUNITY: APC THUGS WHO ATTACKED SOWORE WALK FREE WHILE POLICE PRETEND TO INVESTIGATE The African Action Congress (AAC) is appalled by the brazen display of impunity surrounding the October 30, 2026, assassination attempt and brutal attack on Omoyele Sowore and members of his team in Ado-Ekiti. It is unacceptable to see that an individual identified in a video footage wielding a machete against Sowore’s team, is back on the streets, openly participating in campaign activities for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while the Nigeria Police Force claims to be investigating the attack. This is not merely a failure of policing. It is a dangerous signal that political violence has become an accepted instrument of power under Tinubu’s government. The appearance of Ayodeji Akintade Ifeoluwa, popularly known as “AK,” at a Tinubu campaign event alongside City Boys Movement executives further establishes the unreadiness of the police to actually carry out any investigation or prosecution. AAC demands immediate answers from the Nigeria Police Force. Why have individuals publicly identified in connection with this attack not been arrested and investigated? Why were 11 persons arraigned, while the principal suspects identified by Sowore remain untouched? Why have allegations surrounding stolen devices traced to Government House and the Governor’s Lodge in Ado-Ekiti not been transparently addressed? We further demand an independent investigation into allegations of interference with CCTV evidence and the reported involvement of security officials. These are grave allegations that cannot be dismissed, buried or manipulated to protect politically connected individuals. Tinubu’s government must understand that Nigeria cannot become a country where political thugs enjoy freedom while opposition figures live under threats of assassination. AAC will not allow this attack to disappear into the graveyard of unresolved political crimes. The brutal attack on Sowore and his team, and the brazen impunity around it, is enough to show Nigerians that 2027 General elections will be nothing close to peaceful, free, fair or credible. Tinubu and his government must be held accountable. #TinubuMustGo #Sowore2027 #RevolutionNow Signed: Rex I. Elanu National Publicity Secretary African Action Congress (AAC)

2027 Election: With Sowore, We Can Defeat Family And Friends Government — AAC Calls On ADC Youth to Join Struggle For A Better Nigeria As Nigeria moves towards the 2027 general elections, the African Action Congress (AAC) is calling on members of the ADC Youth Vanguard and other well-meaning Nigerian youths to join forces with Omoyele Sowore in the struggle to rescue Nigeria from years of poor leadership, economic hardship, corruption and political domination. Now that political developments have created new realities for some members of the opposition, this is the time for Nigerian youths to reconsider their political direction and embrace a genuine movement for revolutionary change. We particularly call on the ADC Youth Vanguard, Atiku supporters and other progressive young Nigerians to join Omoyele Sowore and the African Action Congress (AAC) in building a better Nigeria. The truth is that Nigeria needs more than political promises, recycled politicians and endless negotiations for political positions. Our country needs courageous leadership, clear policies and a candidate who is prepared to challenge the existing political establishment. Omoyele Sowore represents an opportunity to break away from the politics of family connections, political godfathers and governments that appear to serve a privileged few rather than ordinary Nigerians. For too long, Nigerians have continued to experience borrowing, mounting public debt, allegations of corruption, unemployment, insecurity and worsening living conditions. The country deserves leadership that prioritises public welfare, accountability, education, employment and economic justice. We believe Sowore has the courage and political determination to challenge this system and offer Nigerians a different direction. The 2027 election must not be another opportunity for politicians to recycle themselves into power. It must be an opportunity for the Nigerian people, especially the youths, to take ownership of their future. To our brothers and sisters in the ADC Youth Vanguard, we extend an open invitation: Come and join us. Do not allow political differences or personal ambitions to divide the Nigerian youths who genuinely desire a better country. Let us unite around ideas, principles and the collective interest of Nigerians. The African Action Congress is ready to work with every progressive youth group and individual committed to ending bad governance and establishing a government that serves the people. Our message is simple: Nigeria belongs to all of us, not a few political families and their friends. In 2027, let us choose a new direction. Let us mobilise, organise and work together for a Nigeria where leadership is a responsibility, public resources are protected, and every citizen has an opportunity to succeed. Comrade Yahaya M. Abdullahi, National Youth Leader, African Action Congress (AAC)

AFRICAN ACTION CONGRESS (AAC) PRESS STATEMENT 4 November, 2026 DEMOCRACY UNDER ATTACK: AAC REJECTS INEC’S SECRET CREATION OF 453 POLLING UNITS The African Action Congress (AAC) condemns the secret creation of 453 additional polling units by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), without public disclosure or meaningful engagement with electoral stakeholders, as exclusively reported by SaharaReporters. According to the report, Nigeria’s polling units have increased from 176,846 to 177,299, with Delta State accounting for the additional units. This development raises troubling questions about INEC’s transparency, impartiality and commitment to credible elections. This development, coming amid concerns over suspicious voter registration records, further erodes confidence in an electoral commission expected to guarantee Nigerians free, fair and credible elections. AAC insists that elections are a process, not merely an event. The 2027 elections are already being compromised when the foundation of the electoral process is shrouded in secrecy. INEC cannot demand public confidence while concealing decisions capable of affecting electoral outcomes. AAC demand the immediate publication of the locations, codes, wards, LGAs, dates of creation, approvals and demographic justification for all 453 alleged polling units, alongside a clear explanation of the consultations undertaken. Nigeria’s democracy cannot survive electoral arrangements conducted behind closed doors. INEC must come clean. The AAC calls on Nigerians, political parties and civil society organisations to resist every attempt to undermine our already staggering democracy. The struggle for electoral justice begins now, we cannot afford to legitimise a flawed process. AAC! Take It Back! Signed: Rex I. Elanu National Publicity Secretary African Action Congress (AAC)

Earlier today Revolutionaries besieged the Nigeria Police Force headquarters in Abuja to send an unmistakable message: the police cannot cover up for the armed assailants who attempted to assassinate our Presidential candidate @sowore and his team in Ado-Ekiti! The brutal attack was captured on video, and we are demanding the identification, arrest, and prosecution of everyone involved, including those who sponsored and coordinated the violence. No cover-up! No protection for the perpetrators! Justice must be served! #PeoplePower #SOWORE2027 #VoteAAC #RevolutionNow

AFRICAN ACTION CONGRESS (AAC) PRESS STATEMENT 2 November 2026 AAC: JUSTICE CANNOT BE BURIED IN EKITI - POLICE MUST STOP SHIELDING SOWORE’S ATTACKERS . The African Action Congress (AAC) is appalled by the continued failure of the Ekiti State Police Command and other security agencies to arrest all those identified in the brutal October 30, 2026, attack on Omoyele Sowore, AAC leaders, and members of his team in Ado-Ekiti. The emergence of fresh video evidence exposing the faces of individuals involved in the attack makes the continued inaction of security agencies even more indefensible. Nigerians deserve to know why people whose identities and alleged roles have been exposed remain beyond the reach of the law. More disturbing are the allegations surrounding the disappearance of CCTV recordings from Tawakalitu Restaurant, the electronic tracing of stolen phones to the Governor’s Lodge, and the police’s shocking claim that there is “no complainant” despite their direct involvement in rescuing victims, arresting suspects, and recovering weapons and stolen property. This is not merely incompetence; it's an affirmation of deliberate obstruction and a coordinated cover-up. The refusal to act on available evidence and credible investigative leads is an assault on justice and the rule of law. AAC demands: 1. The immediate arrest and prosecution of every individual identified in the attack. 2. The immediate removal of the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police and other officers implicated in the alleged cover-up, pending a credible investigation. 3. An independent investigation into the alleged disappearance of CCTV footage and the handling of recovered weapons and stolen devices. 4. An investigation into the reported tracing of stolen phones to the Governor’s Lodge. We will not allow the brutalisation of our presidential candidate (Omoyele Sowore), our National Chairman (Samuel Ajeigbe) and other members of our Party to be swept under the carpet through institutional complicity and political interference. The Ekiti State Government, the Inspector-General of Police, and all relevant security agencies must understand that this matter will not disappear. We demand justice, not excuses. Arrest the attackers. Expose their sponsors. Hold every accomplice accountable. AAC! Take It Back! Signed: Rex Elanu National Publicity Secretary African Action Congress (AAC)

AFRICAN ACTION CONGRESS (AAC) PRESS STATEMENT NB: For Immediate Release 31 October 2026 AAC CONDEMNS EKITI POLICE COVER-UP OF ATTACK ON SOWORE, ALLEGES STATE-BACKED ASSASSINATION PLOT, HOLDS GOVERNOR OYEBANJI, POLICE AND DSS RESPONSIBLE The African Action Congress (AAC) condemns the disgraceful attempt by the Ekiti State Police Command to cover up the brutal attack on our Presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore and his team, by describing it as a mere “altercation.” Despite witnessing the victims' extensive injuries, the Commissioner of Police, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael, issued a statement dismissing the attack and describing their injuries as “minor.” The attackers also stole phones, wristwatches and shoes from members of Sowore's team. Even though some of the stolen phones have been traced to their current locations, neither the DSS nor the Police have made any arrests. Instead, they were quick to seize the restaurant's CCTV footage capturing the attack. This assassination attempt in Ekiti, coupled with the DSS operation in Rivers State that got a tracking device planted on Sowore's vehicle, raises serious concerns about how our security agencies have become armed mercenaries for the APC, instead of securing Nigerians. AAC strongly posits that this was a coordinated assassination attempt against Sowore and demands an independent investigation into the involvement of the DSS, the police and Governor Biodun Oyebanji. We demand the immediate arrest of the attackers, preservation and release of the CCTV footage, recovery of the stolen property, and concrete measures to guarantee Sowore's safety. We will not allow state institutions to be weaponized against political opposition while perpetrators of political violence enjoy protection. We hold Governor Oyebanji, CP Falade and the Inspector-General of Police accountable. Should the authorities fail to act decisively, AAC will mobilise mass action at the Ekiti State Government House. YOU CANNOT SILENCE THE REVOLUTION! AAC! Take It Back! Signed: Rex I. Elanu National Publicity Secretary African Action Congress (AAC)

AFRICAN ACTION CONGRESS (AAC) PRESS STATEMENT NB: For Immediate Release 30 October 2026 AAC RAISES ALARM OVER SOWORE’S UNKNOWN WHEREABOUTS AFTER ATTACK IN EKITI, HOLDS GOVERNOR AND IGP ACCOUNTABLE, THREATENS MASS ACTION The African Action Congress (AAC) is alarmed by the reported attack on our presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, by gunmen whom eyewitnesses described as known thugs of the All Progressive Congress (APC). This attack on our candidate and his team happened in a restaurant (Tawakal-Tu) in Ekiti State. More alarming is that his whereabouts are currently unknown, raising serious concerns about his safety. We call on the Ekiti State Governor, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police to immediately establish Sowore’s whereabouts, guarantee his safety, arrest the perpetrators, and ensure their prompt prosecution. Sowore is one of President Bola Tinubu’s fiercest critics and a leading voice of opposition against the political establishment. We will not accept any attempt to intimidate, harass, or physically attack him for daring to challenge a system hostile to the Nigerian people. Let it be established that we will hold the Ekiti State Governor, the IGP, and the relevant security authorities responsible if anything happens to our presidential candidate or if those behind this assault are not promptly arrested and prosecuted. We demand immediate action, not excuses. If the authorities fail to act with the urgency this situation demands, the AAC will have no choice but to mobilise a massive action at the Ekiti State Government House to demand answers, accountability, and justice. Political thuggery must not become a weapon for silencing opposition in Nigeria. Sowore’s safety is non-negotiable, and the AAC will not stand by while our candidate’s security remains in question. We demand action NOW! Sowore must be safe, and his attackers must face the full weight of the law. Signed: Rex Elanu National Publicity Secretary African Action Congress (AAC)

AFRICAN ACTION CONGRESS (AAC) PRESS STATEMENT 28 October, 2026 AAC WARNS ENABLERS OF INJUSTICE: WEAPONISATION OF CYBERCRIME ACT AGAINST DORIS OGALA IS AN ATTACK ON DEMOCRACY. The African Action Congress (AAC) vehemently condemns the reported court order by Justice A. Aluko of the Federal High Court, Lagos, directing the remand of our Abia State gubernatorial candidate, Doris Ogala, over allegations of cyberbullying one Pastor Chris Okafor. This is a serious attack on our Party, democratic participation, and the fundamental freedoms of Nigerians. We will not accept it in silence! For years, the AAC has demanded the repeal of the repressive Cybercrime Act, which has become a dangerous instrument for influencial individuals and law enforcement authorities to silence dissent, intimidate critics, and criminalise free expression. The circumstances surrounding this case, particularly given Doris Ogala's fierce contest against Governor Alex Otti, raise troubling questions about possible political interference, especially as the rumors in circulation suggest same. While these suspicions require proper investigation, the Nigerian Police must prove that they serve the people, not influential individuals, aggrieved Pastors or undisclosed political interests. We equally demand that Justice Aluko and all judicial officers uphold the highest standards of impartiality and integrity. The judiciary must protect the oppressed, not become an instrument of their persecution. The AAC Party will resist every attempt to weaponise state institutions against our candidates and our movement through all lawful and democratic means. We demand due process, respect for Doris Ogala's fundamental rights, an impartial investigation into any credible allegations of political interference, and the repeal of the repressive Cybercrime Act. Let those plotting to undermine our democratic struggle understand that we will not retreat, we will not surrender, and we will not be silenced! An injury to one is an injury to all! REVOLUTION NOW! AFRICAN ACTION CONGRESS (AAC) PRESS STATEMENT 28 October, 2026 AAC CONDEMNS COORDINATED MEDIA MISINFORMATION AGAINST SOWORE, WARNS MEDIA HOUSES AGAINST BECOMING DSS PROPAGANDA MACHINES The African Action Congress (AAC) strongly condemns the disturbing pattern of misinformation, coordinated media manipulation, and deliberate distortion of court proceedings aimed at maligning our 2027 presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore. The latest incident involving ARISE News and several other media outlets, which reportedly published nearly identical headlines claiming that “Sowore’s Counsel Admits Ignorance of the Evidence Act,” raises serious questions about the integrity, independence, and professional responsibility of the Nigerian media. AAC finds it troubling that media organisations would circulate substantially identical narratives about court proceedings without adequately verifying their accuracy, particularly when journalists were reportedly present and could independently establish what transpired. The striking similarities in these headlines, despite different bylines and publications, raise legitimate concerns about the origin of these skewed reports. As a revolutionary Party challenging the repressive government of President Bola Tinubu, we are not oblivious to the ignoble role the Department of State Services (DSS) has played in circulating falsehoods and manipulative misinformation about our presidential candidate. The Nigerian media must not become an extension of the DSS propaganda machinery or that of any government agency. Journalists have a duty to investigate, verify, and report facts - not reproduce official narratives uncritically, manufacture controversy, or legitimise misinformation designed to discredit political opponents. AAC is particularly concerned about the role of the DSS under its Director-General, Tosin Ajayi, whose conduct and mischief against Sowore deserve independent scrutiny. An intelligence agency must not exploit its institutional influence to manipulate public perception, intimidate critics, or undermine democratic participation. We also challenge the affected media organisations—ARISE News, CHANNELS, The Guardian, The New Citizen, Peoples Daily, Voice of Nigeria, Forefront Nigeria, and others to demonstrate the professional diligence their audiences deserve. Where reports have misrepresented court proceedings, they must promptly publish corrections and appropriate clarifications. Press freedom is not a licence for reckless reporting. AAC will not accept the weaponisation of misinformation against our candidate or any attempt to erode his reputation through questionable media practices. We will continue to expose these patterns, demand accountability, and defend Nigerians’ right to accurate, balanced, and independently verified information. The struggle for a democratic Nigeria requires a free, courageous, and responsible press. When media organisations abandon independent verification for coordinated narratives, they betray public trust and weaken the democracy they are meant to protect. We call on Nigerian journalists, editors, publishers, media owners, and professional associations to resist attempts by security agencies or political interests to compromise their independence. The truth must not be sacrificed on the altar of propaganda and deceit. The media must report facts, not scripts. Nigeria deserves journalism, not coordinated misinformation. Signed: Rex I. AFRICAN ACTION CONGRESS (AAC) PRESS STATEMENT NB: For Immediate Release 22 October, 2026 ARISE NEWS MUST WITHDRAW FALSE REPORT AND APOLOGIZE TO OMOYELE SOWORE AND HIS SUPPORTERS The Sowore/Magashi 2027 Presidential Campaign strongly condemns the false, misleading, and defamatory report published and broadcast by Arise News regarding an altercation involving a lawyer and supporters of our presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, at the Federal High Court, Abuja. In its report, Arise News presenter Ojinika "Ojy" Okpe made a number of assertions that are false and unsupported by the very video footage aired by the station. First, she claimed that the altercation occurred outside the courtroom. This is false. The exchange took place inside the courtroom, in full view of those present. Second, she alleged that Mr. Sowore's supporters threatened to teach the lawyer a serious lesson. However, the footage presented by Arise News contains no evidence whatsoever of any supporter issuing threats against the lawyer. Such a serious allegation should not be reported as fact without proof. Third, Ms. Okpe compounded the falsehood by characterizing the alleged conduct as evidence of lawlessness on the part of Sowore's supporters. This narrative is not only unsupported by the video evidence but also amounts to a reckless and malicious attempt to smear peaceful citizens who have consistently exercised their democratic rights within the bounds of the law. The African Action Congress (AAC) and the Sowore/Magashi 2027 movement have built their political engagement on the principles of accountability, rule of law, and democratic participation. Attempts to portray our supporters as violent or lawless through false reporting are unacceptable and deeply irresponsible. We therefore call on Arise News to: 1. Immediately take down the misleading post and accompanying report from all its platforms. 2. Issue a clear and unreserved public apology to Omoyele Sowore, his supporters, and the Nigerian public. 3. Retract the false claims and correct the record with the same prominence accorded to the original publication. Media organizations have a duty to uphold the highest standards of accuracy, fairness, and professional responsibility. Freedom of the press must not become a license for misinformation, character assassination, or political bias. The Sowore/Magashi 2027 Campaign remains committed to truth, justice, and democratic accountability, and we expect Arise News to act accordingly. The African Action Congress takes immense joy and pride in knowing our presidential candidate is superior in terms of consistency, character and competence. He has evidently raised the bar so high on how true and steadfast a 'politician' should be and remain committed to not just acting but living in the interest of the people even when it is most inconveniencing and unpopular to do so
I watched an interview on #PoliticsToday* on @channelstv, anchored by @seunokin, in which the @OfficialAPCNg National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru (@DrSRJ), called me a “skit maker” and “comedian.” I am presenting here a photograph I took with Ajibola in 1998, when I led the Congress of Progressive Youths (COPY), and we were both in the trenches fighting against military dictatorship. What eventually happened to COPY offered an early indication of what Ajibola has become today, but that is a story for another day. His premise is that because Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT was declared "winner" by @inecnigeria in the deeply flawed 2023 presidential election, those of us who contested against him should somehow be ashamed of losing. Ajibola @DrSRJ came to the University of Lagos after he was expelled from the University of Ilorin in 1992 for student activism. I received him alongside Kunle Adegoke, popularly known as “K-Rad,” who is now a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). We provided them with an enabling environment to apply to re-enter the university, gain admission, and study Law at the University of Lagos @UnilagNigeria. Both eventually graduated with flying colours and went on to accomplish great things. The struggle for justice, democracy, freedom and the preservation of human dignity is neither skit-making nor comedy. Ajibola knows this because he was once part of that struggle and benefited from the solidarity of those who refused to surrender to military tyranny. It is unfortunate that he has become so carried away by the fleeting privileges of his current political position that he now ridicules the very struggle that helped shape his own future. But Ajibola should know better. Political appointments are temporary. Tinubu's regime will come and go, just like the military regimes we confronted in our youth. The principles we fought for in 1994 remain as relevant today as they were then. Our commitment to justice has endured for decades and will outlast his present political appointment. The struggle for freedom is not comedy. What is truly comical is watching yesterday's beneficiaries of resistance become today's defenders of the very oppression they once fought against. #RevolutionNow

Tinubu’s Government and Lies are Inseparable: The Real Nigeria Inflation Math. 🧵 The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) claims inflation has dropped to around 14.63%, acting like the cost-of-living crisis is under control. But anyone who goes to a market in October 2026 knows the truth: This administration is using statistical tricks to mask historic hyperinflation. Here is the undeniable mathematical proof contrasting what things cost in January 2023 (before Tinubu took office) with what they cost today in October 2026. 📊 The Real Market Receipt (Jan 2023 vs. Oct 2026) •⛽ Petrol (1 Litre): ₦190 ➔ ₦1,387 | +630% •🍅 Fresh Tomatoes (Basket): ₦2,000 ➔ ₦11,250 | +462.5% •🍜 Indomie Noodle (Pack): ₦70 ➔ ₦300 | +328.6% •🐟 Titus Sardine (Tin): ₦475 ➔ ₦1,725 | +263.2% •🧱 Cement (50kg Bag): ₦4,800 ➔ ₦13,500 | +181.3% •🥤 Coca-Cola (Bottle): ₦150 ➔ ₦400 | +166.7% 🧮 The True Inflation Breakdown If you buy these six basic essentials as a standard "survival basket," look at the devastating leap in total cost: •Total Basket Cost (January 2023): ₦7,685 •Total Basket Cost (October 2026): ₦28,562 •True Cumulative Inflation Rate: 271.66% 🛑 Propaganda vs. Reality The Government's Narrative (NBS) The Actual Market Reality 14.63% headline inflation rate. 271.66% cumulative price spike on everyday items. Claims food pressure is loosening. Staples are up between 166% and 462%. Celebrates "economic stabilization." Fuel prices have jumped 630%, crushing transport. 🔍 How They Hide the Truth Tinubu’s government manipulates the narrative using two clever deceptive tactics: 1The Year-on-Year Reset: The official 14% figure only compares October 2025 to October 2026. It completely hides the catastrophic price surges that took place in 2023 and 2024.
2Changing the Math: By rebasing the Consumer Price Index (CPI) weights, they structurally forced the reported rate of increase to look smaller on paper. A slower price increase on top of already weaponized, tripled prices is not relief. You can rebase the spreadsheets all you want, but you cannot rebase an empty stomach. #Nigeria #TinubuEconomy #NBS #NigeriaInflation #AAC @aacparty @sowore @OrganizedAfrica
