Heartbreaking scenes from yesterday’s funeral of the Christian martyrs of Jordan’s church attack, as the entire community came together to mourn their loss and bid a final farewell to their loved ones.
On Sunday, October 25, thousands gathered in Karak, Jordan, to accompany the martyrs to their final resting place. Families, friends, religious leaders, and fellow Jordanians united in grief, prayer, and solidarity as the coffins, draped in Jordanian flags, were carried through the crowds.
The nine Christians lost their lives following a terrorist attack on St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Hamoud, Karak, on Friday, October 23. Three gunmen opened fire on mourners who had gathered for a funeral, killing nine people and injuring approximately 40 others.
Please keep our nine martyrs, their grieving families, and all those injured in your prayers. May their souls rest in eternal peace, and may God grant strength and comfort to the people of Jordan. 🇯🇴❤️✝️
