🥷 AdGuard VPN Browser Extension v2.12: Managing custom profiles just got easier Custom profiles were introduced in v2.10 to help you tailor VPN setups for work, streaming, or casual browsing. However, having options scattered across different tabs caused some confusion. With AdGuard VPN Browser Extension v2.12, we gave profiles a well-deserved UX upgrade: • Reorganized settings: Profile-specific options (Exclusions, DNS, Block WebRTC) are now clearly separated from global preferences (Theme, Language) inside a single, clean menu. • Unified Quick connect: Pick the fastest server, your last-used location, or a specific country — all from one screen. • Easier switching and management: Your active profile is now visible right under the connect button. Plus, a handy shortcut in the sidebar lets you switch setups or open Manage profiles from any screen. 👉 Read the full breakdown on our blog: adguard-vpn.com/en/blog/adgu…

A protective salt circle against digital monsters 🎃🧂 The Winchester brothers from Supernatural taught us well: if you see something evil, reach for the salt. A line of rock salt at the threshold or a solid circle around the bed creates an impenetrable barrier against ghosts and demons. Digital monsters — trackers, phishing traps, and obnoxious ads — are always lurking nearby, ready to sneak into your computer, phone, or smart TV the second they get a chance. So, how do you keep them out? Draw a digital salt circle around all your devices with AdGuard DNS. It blocks requests to malicious and ad-serving domains right at the network perimeter. Instead of finding an open door, digital ghouls will run straight into a brick wall. How to lay down the “salt” in 1 minute: • Android: Settings ➔ Network & internet ➔ Private DNS ➔ enter dns.adguard-dns.com • iOS: visit adguard-dns.io and install the ready-made configuration profile in a couple of taps. • Windows / macOS: enter DNS 94.140.14.14 and 94.140.15.15 in your network properties (or simply download the pre-configured profile for Mac from adguard-dns.io). • Router (covers every device in your home): enter DNS 94.140.14.14 and 94.140.15.15 in your router’s settings. P.S. If you want to see stats on all the “exorcised spirits” and customize your own blocking rules, check out Private AdGuard DNS. 👻 No dark magic — just a clean and safe internet.

🛡️ AdGuard for Windows v7.22.10: security update Last week, in response to the eMudhra CA incident, we rolled out a security patch on the AdGuard for Windows release channel (v8.0.3). Now, we’re bringing that same fix to v7.22.10. Updating a legacy branch is an unusual step for us once a new major release is out, but we never leave our users behind and want to ensure everyone stays protected. How to update: Please note that if you’re currently on v7.22.9, this update will not arrive automatically. To get the fix, please download the installer manually and run it: 👉 Download the installer: agrd.io/adguardforwindows7?u… What’s changed? We’ve blocklisted the compromised certificates. HTTPS filtering will not run on domains using these certificates — connections will instead be validated directly by your browser. Safe browsers: • Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave, and Vivaldi have already revoked these certificates via Google CRLSet • Firefox — via Mozilla OneCRL

👻 The AdGuard Halloween sale is in full swing! Ever since Twilight, vampires aren’t really scaring anyone. Now is the perfect moment to stock up on protection and keep digital monsters away from your devices:

🚪 You locked the door, but these five monsters already slipped inside 🧹 Vacuum iRobot's test vacuums recorded homes to learn how to navigate around obstacles. The footage went to human annotators, and photos of thousands of users eventually leaked online, including a woman on the toilet and a child on the floor ❄️ Fridge Since September 2025, Samsung Family Hub fridges (from $1,800) show ads on the door while you're not doing anything. You can't turn it off, and there's no ad-free paid tier. Samsung says screens like these are coming to ovens and washing machines too 🚙 Speaking of cars In 2023, Mozilla audited the privacy policies of 25 car brands, and all of them failed. 84% can share your data, 76% can sell it. The scariest part was the sheer range of what they collect: Nissan's list turned out to include "sexual activity." 📱 Phone Believe it or not, your number already has a score. TeleSign collects data on your calls (who you call, how often, how long you talk) and turns it into a "trust score" it sells to services from TikTok to Microsoft. A bad score can get you blocked or stuck with extra verification. You can't check or contest it: TeleSign says about half of the world's mobile subscribers have one. 📻 Baby monitor Many baby monitors ship with the default password admin/admin. Scanners find these cameras in minutes, and then a complete stranger can watch your nursery and get into your whole home network: the speakers, the lights, and that same vacuum What you can do right now: change the factory passwords and turn off any "share data to improve the service" toggles. And to cut ads and trackers from smart devices across your whole house at once, AdGuard DNS does the job.

👻 Remember standing in a dark bathroom, staring into the mirror, saying Bloody Mary three times? In 2026, Bloody Mary has already made its way into your apartment. And you don't even have to summon her anymore: she shows up on her own, the moment you hit “Accept all” on any website. All these “monsters” are already inside our homes. Ready to dive into their lore, find out what makes them dangerous and how to beat them? We promise it won't be scary. (Almost.)

🚨 Web security alert: urgent AdGuard updates released A major flaw has hit web encryption: Certificate Authority eMudhra (emSign) generated private keys for eight intermediate certificates with weak randomness. In plain English, keys that should be practically unbreakable were so trivial that attackers could easily recover them to forge certificates and impersonate websites. Major browser makers — Google (Chrome), Apple (Safari), Microsoft (Edge), and Mozilla (Firefox) — moved swiftly to distrust and block these compromised certificates. What did AdGuard do? We have already rolled out urgent updates across our apps, adding the affected eMudhra certificates to our blacklist. Updated versions: 🧷 AdGuard for Windows: v8.0.3 🧷 AdGuard for Android: v4.15.1 🧷 AdGuard for Mac: v2.20.2 🧷 AdGuard for Linux: v1.5 What does this mean for your browsing? HTTPS filtering will not work on domains using these certificates — such connections will be validated by the browser itself. This ensures our filtering won't mask any security warnings, though you might see ads on these sites. 💡 Action items for you: ⚠️ Update AdGuard to the latest build 🔍 Make sure you are using a secure, fully updated browser that has already revoked these certificates Safe choices include: — Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi (revoked via Google CRLSet) — Firefox (revoked via Mozilla OneCRL) Update and stay safe! 🚀
