This weekend I make history with 96 race starts for Williams, the most in the team’s history, overtaking the legend that is Nigel Mansell. It’s a surreal feeling to have my name alongside some of the true greats of this sport and this iconic team.
Thank you, Nigel, for your kind words and for allowing me to race with your helmet this weekend a gesture I won’t forget.
Proud of this journey with Williams.

It hurts missing today’s race and it puts us on the back foot for Japan, but can’t fault team AA23’s efforts to get me out on track! 👊 Congrats to Kimi on the win, full focus on Japan already🇯🇵
Saturday done. Tough weekend so far. Pit lane start for the sprint race today so we could explore some different fixes for our issues, followed by a tough qualifying. Weird behaviour we’re trying to get to the bottom of and understand. But nothing worth having comes easy, we will keep working hard and giving it our all. 加油
Eeessh, what a weekend. That’s the first race done. I think everyone can see it was a difficult weekend for us, but we always knew it would be after the start we’ve had this year. What makes it more painful is that everyone here and back at Grove has worked so hard and given everything to get us here, we’re not in this position because of a lack of passion or motivation.
But it’s only round 1, there’s a long season ahead of us and a lot of people, including myself, that are going to give it everything to overcome these bumps in the road. Stick with us, give us some time, and we will get there. On track, it was difficult to get a true feel for the car and with a sprint weekend in China next, the challenge will be much bigger.
