ALT Figure (A) One kidney is shared by 3 patients. A kidney from a 49-year-old male deceased donor (B+) was transplanted into a 43-year-old man with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). After recurrence of the disease, the graft was removed and regifted by the same individual to a 66-year-old woman with cryoglobulinemic glomerulonephritis (CryoGN), where it continues to function. Additional organs shown represent the other organs donated by this deceased donor to other recipients. (B) Clinical course of the retransplanted allograft. Solid lines denote serum creatinine level (mg/dL) during periods of active allograft function in each recipient. Dashed lines denote periods prior to transplantation or following allograft removal. POD, postoperative da.
