I'm noticing a lot of nice Japanese restaurants ask you not to wear perfumes and cologne if you make a reservation. Very civilized! I wish that was common in America.

13 minutes of this a day will improve your focus: - Close your eyes and focus on your breathing for 13 minutes - Do it daily, but skipping a day still leaves benefits - Wendy Suzuki's lab at NYU found it enhances focus, mood, sleep and cognitive performance - Even 5 minutes a day has outsized effects, from work with Dr. David Spiegel at Stanford - Treat it as focus training, not mindfulness: refocus on your breath every time your mind drifts - A wandering mind is an unhappy mind, and refocusing all day raises happiness @hubermanlab

I regret to inform you that the best gym program is repeating the same 10-12 exercises and getting stronger at them until you die.

My 57 year old, divorced, male coworker just told me his “perfect” match would be around 35 years old. I laughed out loud.. The thing is he’s not an ugly man and he takes great care of himself. And even still, he would not be on the radar of a woman 20 yrs younger than him 😂 men are so unserious..

If you are opposed to involuntary care, ask yourself honestly: if this was you, what do you hope would happen?

"status matters...it attracts women. In fact, having high status is probably the single most desirable feature in a man. Which is why you often see elderly billionaires, drug-addled rock stars and overweight crypto bros with young, beautiful girlfriends." aporiamagazine.com/p/life-is…

Researchers found an easy way to trigger the will to act, and it starts with finding a choice, almost any choice, that lets you feel like you're the one steering. The specific decision matters less than the fact that you're the one making it.

Waiting for motivation never works, researchers found it shows up after you start, not before. Here’s the trigger that actually works:

For the first time: The pilots who landed the Flydubai flight have been revealed. They entered the cockpit after the Indian pilot, Sumit Machhar, was attacked with an axe during an attempted suicide attack. They managed to land the Boeing in Saudi Arabia, despite part of its tail having been broken off. Following a commendation ceremony in the UAE—where they were honored alongside Machhar—the pilots' names have been disclosed: Hanson Stephen from Fiji and Rowan Toth from South Africa. "They acted with heroism and composure."
