I heard a sharp whistle from my home, then felt the impact. Power failed immediately, and I arrived within three minutes. I suspect this was a missile… 🙏 West Palm Beach FL

Footage reportedly shows U.S. AN/TWQ-1 Avenger short-range air defense systems deployed around President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. The deployment was requested by the U.S. Secret Service and carried out by NORAD and U.S. Northern Command, both of which have publicly confirmed the deployment. The Avenger system uses FIM-92 Stinger surface-to-air missiles and is designed to engage low-flying aerial threats, including aircraft and drones. Additional counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) capabilities have also been deployed to support the protection of the area. Officials have not disclosed whether a specific threat prompted the deployment. Source: NORAD, The War Zone

#FLwx | #N722BD✈️ Austin to Bahamas Sudden flight change & crashed near Mar-A-Lago; monitoring all. So much irregular area weather at the time but seeing much more with developments!
⁉️Plot thickens with the plane crash by Mar-A-Lago N722BD had flight plans for the Bahamas (ELH), then mid flight while over Florida the plane changes course and sets it's heading to Mar-A-Lago going way off course then nose dives mere miles away from Trump? Something is way off
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
N722BD was en route from Austin to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas per FAA confirmation and not off course toward Mar-a-Lago. ADS-B data show an abrupt steep righthand descent with extreme negative vertical speed consistent with loss of control. cnn.com/2026/11/01/us/… bocanewsnow.com/2026/11/01/pla… palmbeachpost.com/story/news/acc… x.com/flightradar24/…

I just landed at PBI from EWR about 90 min ago. It was scary. They reviewed the emergency evacuation procedures an hour out and ordered everyone seated including attendants for last 45 minutes. No one threw up though thankfully.

Not necessarily. There is a severe turbulence report east of Cape Canaveral in addition to what the woman told me.

The system is generally moving westward across the Florida peninsula, away from the east (Atlantic) coast toward the interior and Gulf side. Easterly low-level winds are steering the cells that way, with some slow motion, training, and possible backbuilding/new development farther east.

#AZwx #FLwx | Excellent review of both Super strong desert atmospheric river!
🌧️🌪️🌊 Your Weatherboy weather check for Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026 🌧️ ARIZONA & UTAH: A rare autumn atmospheric river is drenching the Desert Southwest. The National Weather Service in Phoenix called it one of the strongest to hit the region in the last decade. Forecasters expect 3 to 5 inches of rain along the Mogollon Rim, with up to 6 inches possible in spots, and parts of Arizona and southern Utah are under a Moderate Risk (level 3 of 4) for excessive rainfall. On saturated ground, nearly all of it will run off: Oak Creek at Cornville is forecast to crest near 12 feet tonight, well above its 8-foot flood stage, and flood warnings cover Zion and Bryce Canyon national parks. Crews pulled drivers from floodwaters in Phoenix and Scottsdale on Friday. Rain should end by sunrise Monday, but rivers may stay high for days. Turn around, don't drown. 🌪️ SOUTHERN PLAINS: Severe storms fire this evening in eastern New Mexico and west Texas (Slight Risk, level 2 of 5), with gusts that could top 70 mph and a few tornadoes. On Monday the threat shifts to Oklahoma, north Texas and south-central and eastern Kansas from late afternoon into the night, with damaging winds, a few tornadoes and a conditional risk of an EF2 tornado. Have more than one way to receive warnings. 🌊 SOUTH FLORIDA: Flood watches cover Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties and the Treasure Coast through Monday afternoon. Scattered areas could get 3 to 5 inches of rain, with isolated totals of 5 to 7 inches, possibly within a few hours. It comes days after a record king tide: on Oct. 27, the Virginia Key tide gauge peaked at 2.54 feet above the average daily high tide, the highest there outside a hurricane since 1994. Coastal flood advisories continue through Monday. Never drive through saltwater flooding. #Weather #Arizona #Phoenix #Utah #FlashFlood #AtmosphericRiver #SevereWeather #Tornado #NewMexico #Oklahoma #Texas #Kansas #Florida #Miami #KingTides

#FLwx | Florida gettin’ a fire hose too!
LIVE RADAR: I just got a message from a follower that told me she had her Jetblue flight from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale diverted due to this mess over Southern Florida. The pilot tried, doing several circles over the Everglades, but no luck. She also experienced severe turbulence, with people throwing up on the plane. These storms are no joke, from above (and on the ground). Multiple flash flood warnings are in effect.
