Major holidays often mean a night out with fun and friends… and maybe your favorite beer.
The Beer Institute believes that alcohol consumption should be moderate and responsible. That’s why we’re glad to support WRAP’s SoberRide here in the DC area: a great program that provides $15 Lyft credits to help get people home safely.
Last Halloween, a record-breaking 4,056 people made a safe choice, and used SoberRide. That’s 4,056 possible drivers taken off the road in one single night.
We’re so proud of our partnerships that help keep people safe when they choose to consume alcohol.

Beer jobs are a lot bigger than just brewers and importers.
They're the machinists, electricians, plumbers, can makers, bottlers, equipment manufacturers, office staff and delivery drivers. All the people who keep our facilities operating.
More than 2.42 million jobs in total are supported by beer, in every state and every congressional district. That’s worth celebrating.
Cheers to #ManufacturingWeek!
It's #ManufacturingWeek, and we're giving a shoutout to the people who keep America's beer industry brewing.
Manufacturing is at the heart of the beer industry.
Brewers, machinists, can makers, bottlers, equipment manufacturers: you name it. In total, the U.S. beer industry supports more than 77,000 manufacturing jobs, all across the country.

It’s not just any beer served at Munich’s Oktoberfest!
The beer they’re drinking at the official festival comes from six traditional Munich breweries: Augustiner, Hacker-Pschorr, Hofbräu, Löwenbräu, Paulaner and Spaten.
But you know what? We're not that picky.
There are beers for every flavor profile and every taste.
So whether you love a German festbier, a crisp light lager, a pale lager or one of the growing number of low- and no-alcohol options, there's a beer for you.
And that's really what we think Oktoberfest is all about: celebrating with friends, family, coworkers and neighbors. Prost!

You know what to do:
âś…Buy your favorite six-pack.
âś…Dust off that team jersey.

CHEERS to a big win in Week 3!
Hey, @MattGoncalves77, @JuiceCheck44 and @jqfergy11, next time you're in DC to play the @Commanders, we've got a real beer waiting for you.
Nothing makes a celebration special like sharing a cold beer. Whether it's a crisp lager, a hoppy IPA, a non-alcohol beer or even an imaginary one: beer brings people together.

This might go down in history as the best wedding ever…
We’re talking about the October 12, 1810, wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen, who celebrated their marriage in the most epic way possible:
With a giant beer festival in Munich.
In fact, the celebration was such a huge hit with the people of Bavaria that it became an annual Munich tradition… one millions of people now celebrate every year as Oktoberfest.
Beer: bringing people together—even to celebrate a 216th wedding anniversary.

Hey, why’s Oktoberfest in September?
Oktoberfest used to be in October (which makes sense) back when it was founded in 1810 but, as the celebration grew, organizers shifted the festival earlier into late September to take advantage of warmer weather and longer days in Munich.
(It also puts Oktoberfest in the harvest season: a great time to celebrate the natural ingredients, like hops and barley, that go into every beer.)

PROST to Oktoberfest!
Did you know more than 6 million beer lovers descend on Munich every year, for the world’s most famous beer festival?
Whether you’re celebrating at home, at your favorite bar or in a big tent in Munich (jealous!), one thing is clear: when you’re surrounded by good friends and cold beer, you’re guaranteed a good time.
