Youtube is an amazing resource for #writing tips and advice, especially if you don’t have the £ to pay for official courses. Big respect for my most-frequented channels; @abbieemmonsx @bookfox @AlyssaMatesic and @cfraiseauthor Thank you for your content, guys! 🙏💛

. @StoryblocksCo I reached out to your customer service complaining that you've been adding tons of AI videos to your stock videos. In response, you cancelled my account. Is this how you treat customers who dare to bring up that you're using AI videos instead of real videos?

Really? I’d pay nothing. Ever. Magazine submissions aren't supposed to be Disney World. I pay as a reader to read and support the things I love, not as an author, least of all to acquire "benefits".

How in the world does Claire Keegan get away with publishing short stories as $20 hardback novels? Don’t get me wrong, I love Foster and Small Things like These, but they are not … books?

Anyone who teaches and gives feedback to creative writing--fiction, autofiction, and nonfiction--what words do you use frequently when giving that feedback? For example, "Here might be a missed opportunity for X."

The Complete Review turns 25 today. The first reviews were posted 5 April 1999, and here I am, 5222 reviews later ..... Ancient, in internet time and terms — older than Wikipedia ! Facebook ! etc. etc. — and, some days, feeling it.

Seems like a good opportunity to recommend John Williams’s masterpiece, STONER.
I finally finished Blood Meridian. Can someone now please recommend a good book where absolutely nothing bad happens to a dog or a horse or a baby

I have students in my intermediate and advanced fiction writing classes create a Character Dossier using this template. Thought it might be helpful to some of my fiction writing followers.

I think one of the best ways to improve the feedback you give on writing is to not initially approach a piece with the idea that it will need to change. Reading a piece with the idea that it must be altered is a ruinous way to read. Enjoy it!
