Some news: today is my last day with the New York Times. I've loved my time here (& my editors & colleagues!). But I am VERY excited for my next adventure: TV writing. Next week I start my first TV staff writing job! More details TK (guess I'll never not use journalism lingo?).

1/ Here’s a story about how journalism works. Spoiler Alert: This is how we decide *not* to publish. We were recently looking at Pete Hegesth’s different statements over the years about West Point, where he has said he was admitted. First stop: West Point.
We understand that ProPublica (the Left Wing hack group) is planning to publish a knowingly false report that I was not accepted to West Point in 1999. Here’s my letter of acceptance signed by West Point Superintendent, Lieutenant General Daniel Christman, US Army.

Evan was subjected to a closed trial by a shadowy judicial system where acquittals are almost unheard of. No media or US diplomats were allowed in the courtroom and no public evidence was presented. It wrapped up within a month. More on that shadowy system wsj.com/world/russia/evan-ge…

Cathy took a chance on me as a young reporter with little experience but lots of big ideas and potential. Her zero bullshit style was inspiring and intimidating. She was one of a kind — tho I am one of many, many journalists who lives she changed for the better. What a loss 💔
Cathy Panagoulias, a highly respected, former top editor at the WSJ and mentor to a generation of journalists, has died at 70. Colleagues have set up a memorial fund. Contributions can be made to the Journalism Refugees Education Fund. gofund.me/80139f2a

“The Girls on the Bus” was based on a memoir of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign. Now it’s become one of the first TV shows to imagine what a female presidential candidate looks like, post-Hillary. nyti.ms/3VtTuoz
