If it seems that Jayson Tatum connects on a lot of buzzer beaters it’s because he’s been elite in the clutch.

Brian Scalabrine goes OFF on Jaylen Brown 😳
“Jaylen Brown wants to be the victim in all of this, and this is the way he’s doing it now. He’s using me, or his PR team, or whatever it is, to play the victim, and he’s not going to take responsibility for it. That’s fine…I just feel like he wants to say whatever he wants, and he doesn’t want to be held accountable, just like on his Twitch. He wants his legacy to remain intact, and he’s not going to take responsibility for the other stuff that he brings up. And this is just the beginning of it.”

If the roles were reversed & the Celtics had attempted to trade Tatum & officially chosen to make it Brown’s team would Jaylen have fought hard to keep Jayson in Boston?
14%JB was fine being 1B

35 votes • 13 hoursHad BOS attempted to trade Tatum & officially chosen to make it Brown’s team does anyone actually believe Jaylen would have fought to keep Jayson in Boston?
BOS didn't want to commit an additional $140 mil to JB for two more yrs once he hit his mid thirty's. Brown enjoyed being the "man" on the team & the front office decided that it if they needed to pick just one Jay, Tatum was their choice
Every other NBA team also preferred JT based on reports as well as the lukewarm interest at best teams' offers to BOS for Brown showed. Despite complaining he's disrespected by the media, the media has voted him higher in MVP/All-NBA voting than all 30 NBA teams' advanced analytics view him.
Had Brown accepted he was not going to get an additional $140 mil ON TOP of his already super max contract & been willing to return to being the 1B guy to Tatum's 1A, he'd STILL be a Celtic.
Brown didn't need to "demand" a trade. Writing was on the wall. Either the Celtics give in to what Jaylen wanted in terms of role & extension or one of the Jay's had to go. BOS picked Tatum.
Jayson not fighting to stop a trade isn't some huge sin. Again, If the Celtics had attempted to trade Tatum instead & officially chosen to make it Brown’s team, does anyone actually believe Jaylen would have fought to keep Jayson in Boston? Or would he have offered to drive him to the airport?
Brown is still obsessed about Tatum months later post trade. Posting "🧢" emojis, talking about Jayson's "PR team," warning him to "stay ready," etc.
Most extreme middle child syndrome ever.

Don't think I've ever seen an entire team – players and coaches – run to pick a guy off the floor like the Celtics just did for Mitchell Robinson.
Earning a lot of respect for his effort.
Blake has Tatum’s back
Former teammate Blake Griffin commented on the Jayson Tatum-Jaylen Brown drama:
"I just feel a little bit disappointed, and I think watching that clip and hearing Jayson talk, you can hear the disappointment in his voice... Being their teammate, being inside the locker room, I know JT cares about him."
"Both of them should keep in perspective what they've accomplished and not be short-sighted about what has happened over the offseason. Their relationship is special. It's not often guys have those types of careers and win a championship for a storied franchise like Boston."
