For the first time, CIR has uncovered the location of a Sudanese RSF military camp in the desert of Sudan’s neighbour, Libya.

Earlier today, CIR verified a shooting incident near an IDF checkpoint in northwestern Hebron, West Bank. Footage shows two armed men aiming their weapons down a street, while additional bodycam footage shows IDF soldiers firing shots at the same location. Aftermath content shows the two armed men lying on the ground, seemingly deceased. 1/2
Media outlets report that at least five IDF soldiers were injured in the incident, having been targeted by two reported Palestinians.
During the following hours, Prime Minister Netanyahu announced “a closure on the city of Hebron” and “a full lockdown” of the West Bank. CIR will continue to monitor for further violent incidents across the West Bank over the coming days. 🚨 CIR has identified 21 drones used in the war in #Sudan. According to the UN, drones caused more than 80% of civilian deaths in Sudan during the first four months of 2026. CIR analysis shows most drones seen on the battlefield are manufactured in foreign countries. 1/4

CIR has verified 12 incidents of damage to sites believed to be water infrastructure across southern Lebanon, both inside and outside the Israeli Security Zone. 1/5
In Debaal, east of Tyre, the South Lebanon Water Establishment said its well was completely destroyed and out of service. CIR verified and geolocated the images it shared.

Through analysing 477 ads on Facebook between 2021 and 2025, CIR was able to track the civilian impact of conscription, a law that came into force in February 2024. We found a sharp rise in the missing persons ads after the law came into force, mostly involving men and boys of military age.

Promsvyazbank (PSB), Russia’s state-owned bank and the primary financer of its military procurement for the war against Ukraine has emerged since 2022 as a key instrument in Moscow’s efforts to fully integrate the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories (ToTs) into Russia’s financial system.
This process, made possible by the phasing out of Ukrainian currency and its replacement with the ruble, involves luring local residents into becoming clients through lucrative offers and initiatives that position PSB as the guarantor of essential social payments.
Amid the expanding role of Russian financial institutions in state surveillance, the consolidation of sensitive personal data through PSB is enhancing the ability of occupation authorities to leverage that information for surveillance of the local population.

On 28 September 2026, an airstrike occurred in the civilian area near Kissapanadi Bridge and India Market in Kyauktaw town, Kyauk Taw Township, Rakhine State. CIR’s Myanmar Witness investigators geolocated this to [20.833724, 92.984405]. 1/3
CIR assessed that an aerial image, published by the AA Info Desk, if captured at this location, was recorded between approximately 12:42 and 13:22 local time, on 28 September 2026.
Analysis of the available footage identified strong visual indicators consistent with at least 33 deceased individuals, however this is a minimum visual estimate, not a confirmed death toll. 2/3
Between 28 September and 1 October 2026, Myanmar Witness also documented 14 alleged airstrikes across Myanmar, including the reported Kyauktaw incident.

Despite the ongoing Israel-Hamas ceasefire, which began on 10 October 2025, CIR has continued to verify incidents resulting in civilian casualties. Since then, CIR has verified 189 casualties across 58 incidents in the Gaza Strip, including 26 minors. 1/3
Content shared on 17 July 2026 shows at least nine casualties near to the Ahmad Yassin Mosque in Nuseirat refugee camp. What appears to be a crater from a small munition was visible on the road surface. Analysis of satellite imagery from 8 March 2026 shows the location was on the western edge of a large area of temporary shelters. 2/3
According to Al Jazeera, “The Israeli military confirmed carrying out the strike”, claiming it had “struck a ‘terrorist’ cell in central Gaza” and was looking into “claims that several uninvolved individuals were harmed”.
