A good day to quote this thread. Thank you to the team for pushing the vision forward 🥹. @sysconf_ #SysConf #SysConf26
I try to articulate one vision for @sysconf_ in a short essay. It’s important to consider why we even bother and what we hope to achieve. If we can learn from you, please apply. If you know someone we can learn from, ask them to apply. Link in thread.

Seeing part of our speaker list this way makes me appreciate the work of the team even more. We care very much about the quality of the sessions. I consider it a great honor to give technical people doing valuable work a platform. We can learn from you. Iron can sharpen iron. We’ll work hard to make sure the standard never drops @sysconf_.
That’s one of the few conferences that’s always super international about their speakers line up. Not popularity, not numbers of followers, just pure technical input. Very excited for this. I’ll be talking about homelabbing, the useful and practical stuff you can do with it, and all the fun and interesting things I’ve learnt along the way.
We're excited to announce Olukayode E. Adegbite (@olucurious) as a speaker at SysConf 2026! His talk is titled "Building a Homelab for Fun and Learning." What started as a repurposed Dell workstation for running his own services became Olukayode's way to own unfamiliar parts of computing end to end. In this talk, he'll share how his homelab evolved, from virtualization and network segmentation to remote access, monitoring, and backups. He'll also cover the mistakes and lessons along the way, and why a homelab is a great place to build useful things, try unfamiliar technology, break things safely, and have fun! #SysConf #SysConf26

super excited to finally announce this. 🥳 it’s been months in the making, especially supporting both arm64 and x86-64. this is one of many critical pieces we think agents will need to flexibly use computers. but, we’re not done yet. even more exciting stuffs soon ;)🤗🫢
you can now snapshot and branch a running computer. memory snapshots are live in microsandbox, on macos, linux and windows.

The confusing step, the edge case, the flow that quietly breaks. Someone always finds them, and it's usually a user. So I built Curiosity. It explores your product like your users do and files what breaks. Try it here: curiosity.feedback

We’re excited to announce Toks Nkemdilim (@toksdotdev), CTO of Microsandbox (@microsandbox), as a speaker at SysConf 2026! His talk is titled “From Local to Cloud: How Microsandbox's Init System Powers Execution.” At the core of Microsandbox is agentd, a purpose-built init system running inside every microVM. As PID 1, it bootstraps the guest, manages process lifecycles, reaps child processes, handles shutdown, and provides the interface through which the host executes and controls workloads. His talk follows an execution request across the microVM boundary: from the SDK, through the host runtime, into agentd, and back as a stream of process events. He’ll cover how compact message formats, correlation IDs, protocol negotiation, and capability checks allow multiple commands and clients to share runtimes safely, from local setups to Microsandbox’s Cloud. #SysConf #SysConf26

We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics. The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra. The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.

I've known Benji professionally and personally for over a decade now. I've heard him recount his story and the @NALAmoney journey around the world, from Palo Alto to London to Dar es Salaam. In every one of these stories, he evokes a pride about America and the American experience. About what it meant for this country to believe in him; about the responsibility he has to those that placed their trust in him. He's then shown up by building a valuable American company, employing Americans, and perhaps most tellingly, carrying the spirit of American entrepreneurship around the world. And it's much needed. These are parts of the world where anti-American influence can be pervasive and the true differentiation we have is showing everyone - from the voices of their very best countrymen - that the American experiment is real and that it is honorable. Every time I see the friction of this immigration regime against our desire for the revival of American values around the world, I continue to be let down by our inability to practice the art of self-interested restraint. At some point, the tech community will need to come to terms with which fight it is actually trying to win. nytimes.com/2026/09/02/opini…

Here's one of many stories of how some of the fastest-growing fintechs use @RulebaseHQ to scale their customer operations. A year ago, Rho reviewed only a tiny fraction of customer interactions by hand and caught issues weeks late. Today, Rulebase reviews 100% of interactions across phone, email, and chat in real time, then acts on what it finds. When an interaction shows a customer at risk, a repeat contact, or an SLA about to slip, a Rulebase agent picks it up, loops in the owning team, and follows through to resolution. The results: 4x more issues caught, 3x fewer escalations, and ~90% less manual review.

Congrats Rulebase team on the massive launch of Revenue Agent! Every fintech has a graveyard of approved accounts that never transacted. Their AI agents nudge every stalled account to their first transaction. And you can tell it's a designer founder because everything from product to new website looks & works gooood 💅 rulebase.co/
We’re excited to launch the @RulebaseHQ Revenue Agents to help fintechs get more customers from application to first transaction. It runs client and merchant onboarding end-to-end: chasing missing documents, following up on failed checks, clearing review blockers, and keeping accounts moving over days, weeks, or months. We also crossed 15 million reviews. Thank you to all our partners and customers.

アルテミス1のオリオン宇宙船の大気圏再突入動画、20倍速にしてみました。25分も見てられないという方はどうぞ。1分15秒です。Credit: NASA
詳しくは記事をご覧ください: astropics.bookbright.co.jp/a… Credit: NASA
