Players,
when putting together your recruiting highlight film, keep it around 2-3 minutes.
Your best clips need to be in the first 30 seconds. Don’t save your best plays for the end.
Show a variety of skills. Shooting, finishing, passing, defending, and making the right play.

Blessed to receive an offer from
A&M San Antonio after an amazing visit and conversation with Coach Smith! Thank you for the opportunity!🙏🏾🏀
Players-
with college basketball getting ready to start, I encourage you to watch ALL levels of college basketball.
D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO.
Don’t just watch the big D1 programs on TV. Go watch games at schools in your area.
You’ll quickly realize how good college basketball is at every level.
@nresultsrecruit @AlamoCityHoops1
Players-
when the ball isn’t in your hands, are you cutting, relocating, setting on-ball and off-ball screens, and staying ready to score? Or are you just standing on the three-point line waiting for the ball?
College coaches are evaluating what you do without the basketball, not just what you do with it.

One of the most underrated skills in basketball is being able to create an advantage in 2 dribbles or less.
Catch. Read. Attack. Make a decision.
Too many players need 6 dribbles to accomplish nothing.

Players, stop comparing your recruitment to someone else’s offer.
You don’t know the full story behind it—the conversations, scholarship package, roster situation, or how serious the opportunity really is.
Stay focused on your own development, relationships, and recruiting process.

Players-
You don’t determine your market. College coaches do.
You can believe you’re a D1 player, but if D1 programs aren’t recruiting you, that tells you something about your current market.
That doesn’t mean stop improving. It means understand where you stand.

Great question.
It’s not just handles, buckets, or highlights. Gaps close quicker in college. You have less time and space to make decisions.
Decision-making, pace, defense, consistency, and making the right reads under pressure separate the two.
Creating winning habits by focusing on the things ⬆️ will help close that gap. There will always be a separation between high school and college basketball, but you can better prepare yourself as a high school player by developing these habits now.
