REMINDER: Politics matters because policy matters because people matter. How you vote — and that you vote — matters. It is a right and a blessing that we have a say in our, our children’s, and our neighbors’ rights. Loving your neighbor and being involved politically aren’t mutually exclusive. In fact, politics is a way to love your neighbor. Not the primary way, not the only way, but a way. Abortion affects your littlest neighbor. Gender deception affects your confused neighbor, your abused neighbor, your female athlete neighbor. Immigration affects your citizen neighbors, especially the most vulnerable ones. Crime affects your innocent neighbors, especially the weakest ones. The list goes on. The politicians you vote for and the policies they advocate for have an impact - for better or for worse - not only on you and your children, but on the most defenseless among us. There is no perfect party, politician, or policy. Yet, even knowing human fallibility, God has designated the responsibility of lawmaking, doling out justice, and punishing evil to the government. In America, we have a rare gift: to get a say in what that government looks like. The government isn’t a parent, the church, or a charity. It’s an institution meant to preserve our sovereignty, protect the innocent, and create order. We vote for the candidate that is best suited to do these things. Most Christians throughout history and around the world today do not have the freedom to directly and freely shape the policies of their country. Yet Christians have always been involved in culture and policy. Both in liberty and in tyranny, Christians have advocated on behalf of children, against lawlessness, and for moral order. It’s how we got rid of infanticide in ancient pagan Rome, how we abolished slavery in the West, and overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022. Many of the issues on the line today - abortion, gender, marriage, parental rights - aren’t primarily political issues, they’re Biblical ones. Being silent about them isn’t opting out of being “political.” It’s opting out of being Biblical. Vote. Because politics affect policy and policy affects people. And people matter — to God and to us.

I’m not at liberty to share all the details, but suffice it to say that many people rejoicing over this have given a completely incorrect rendering of what occurred and why. ICE did not come to his home. This whole thing is a paperwork issue that they’re working to resolve. Samuel Sey is a good man. As you can imagine, his wife, who’s at home with their 3 babies, is devastated and also trusting the Lord to help them find a resolution quickly. Please pray for all of the Seys. Pray for wisdom and provision. Those celebrating because they don’t like something Sam said are slanderous backbiters and gossips. Pay them no mind
Do the "Christians" celebrating this have no fear of God? Samuel Sey is A) not an illegal alien and B) a brother in Christ. Praying for Samuel and his dear wife and family. May this be sorted out soon. Beware those who breathe lies and sow discord among brothers (Prov. 6:19).

There are lots of period tracking apps on the market that encourage promiscuity or even New Age and occult practices. I wanted to create a period and pregnancy tracking app that isn’t afraid to be unapologetically pro-life, to call a woman a woman, and to celebrate marriage. ana kate’s motto, “for women, for life,” has two meanings. We exist for women, and we are advocates for women. We exist for the whole life of a woman, and we are advocates for the life she may be creating in her womb. Should we be worried about “men making laws about women’s bodies?” Every law tells us what we can and can’t do with our bodies. We can’t speed with our bodies, assault with our bodies, steal with our bodies. We also shouldn’t be able to kill a person just because he or she is in our body.

Oh, my goodness, I watched Allie Beth’s clip the other day warning women about taking in horror and other content that scares them, and this whole time based on the absolute freak-out reaction I’ve been seeing, I thought she’d done an entire episode on why horror movies were not a wise choice. It turns out people are losing their marbles because she actually took a very short aside in her episode on how to think biblically about Halloween to express her belief that we shouldn’t be taking in entertainment in general that causes us to feel horror and be afraid as she warned about participating in anything demonic or evil related to Halloween. This reaction is insane. I think we all know that women in our culture and even in the church are not doing well mentally. We have epidemics of anxiety, depression, and mental instability of various forms, yet when a Christian woman warns her listeners that they should exercise discernment and stay away from dwelling on any entertainment content that causes them to fear, THIS IS WHAT CHRISTIANS THINK IS WORTH ATTACKING?????

Allie Beth Stuckey has always been thoughtful and kind. So give her the benefit of the doubt when you disagree with her. You maniacs.

Most horrors do not contain God. They don't show a balance. I've read over 500 horror novels. Watched countless movies. A lot of authors are atheists. They view ONLY humanity as the stronghold against evil - not God. They will let their mc's use pagan witchcraft to defeat evil not Jesus Christ. Partly because they do not really understand what they're writing about.

Hang on! I didn’t say anywhere that Christians shouldn’t watch suspenseful or tense things. In the episode I specifically warn against movies that are meant to stoke paranoia, anxiety, a nagging sense of dread and fear. I don’t believe consuming that kind of content facilitates the peace to which God calls us. I also never said Christians can only watch Christian-branded entertainment or that we can’t watch things that are complicated and sometimes violent. My favorite movies of all time contain war and suspense and moral complexity. I still stand by what I said - we shouldn’t consume content that is intended to make us feel paranoid.

I understand why the genre might not be someone’s cup of tea. I don’t particularly gravitate to it myself, usually. But it’s okay for Christians to tell and enjoy stories that are tense, suspenseful, even scary. There’s nothing inherently sinful about any of those feelings. And the categorical insistence on avoiding those feelings is precisely why almost all “faith based” entertainment is terrible. I would argue that bland, bad, boring “Christian entertainment” — which is almost all of it, truly — is a far greater cultural problem for Christians than any horror movie ever could be. Christians used to be the great storytellers of western civilization. That was back when they told difficult, complicated, sometimes bleak and violent stories. Not anymore. Now the stories are all very nice and pleasant, but they also suck and nobody with any taste can stand to watch them.

A fun thing about not scrolling on X anymore is that you have no idea when one of your takes is causing a huge fuss until it starts to cross over onto Instagram. I am glad my Christians & horror films commentary has provided so much content!!

Wow!! Praise the Lord!!! Thank you to all 10,000 of you who signed up for my new app, ana kate, yesterday. It’s so clear that Christian women want - and need - a place to call home when it comes to tracking periods and pregnancy. I created ana kate because, as a Christian woman, I was tired of constantly having to navigate unbiblical ideas, unscientific statements, and illicit images when I was just trying to track my cycle or get pregnancy insights. I wanted a place that would encourage and educate me in truth. Whether you’re just tracking your period, trying to conceive, pregnant, or postpartum, ana kate is the Biblically rooted, scientifically grounded alternative to the apps that push abortion, sexual degeneracy and gender confusion. At AK, we know what a woman is, honor marriage, and value every life. Link for iOS below!

Other cycle tracking apps have been propagandized by leftist euphemisms like "pregnant people" and encourage women to consider abortion if the pregnancy wasn't planned. Ana Kate is a great resource for women who value life, love the Lord, and know what a woman is!

This is SUCH a great idea for an app -- for women to learn more about their cycle and fertility, from a life-affirming perspective. Great work, @conservmillen!

Sometimes this world makes me feel crazy for holding countercultural views and beliefs. And then I watch an episode of @RelatablewABS and am reminded that we aren't the crazy ones, and we aren't alone. But most importantly- God is in control. He isn't panicked. He hasn't been caught off guard. Nothing happening in this world has taken Him by surprise, and His plan is unfolding exactly as He intended. What a comfort it is to rest in that truth. Thank you for your wisdom, courage, and constant reminders to keep our eyes fixed on what matters most, @conservmillen.
