Actually, if you buy a Rolex watch before you buy real estate, you’re just stupid.

Currently have a buyer who has an accepted offer on a house. Prior to that, They asked me what lender to choose. I told them there is a local guy that has done a nice job for me in the past. They chose one of the largest banks in the United States because it was "cheaper" We are 2 days from loan commitment and the buyers are completely miserable. Their choice doesn't return phone calls, doesn't work nights or weekends, and doesn't really seem to care if they get the loan or not. This is one reason why I cringe when I hear how it's so important to shop around and get the "best rate" on your mortgage. It's advice given by the same people who told the DOJ that agents only show houses that have the highest payout....completely clueless about the average home buyer and what is best for them.

Never underestimate a man at war with his HOA. It is ingrained in our DNA and activates thousands of years of previous rebellion.

God bless the spouses of Realtors. They have to put up with clients' 24/7 bombardment, no weekends off, no health insurance, and no guaranteed paycheck. It's hard to be an agent, but it might even be harder to be married to one.
