It's pencils down, people. Writing code by hand is no longer an economically viable skill for most programmers at most companies. But the future of making software has never been brighter. Don't you dare black pill this beautiful moment! youtu.be/vDjW_dRyKXY?si=6Fsf…
To their great shame, the Danes managed to bully Sweden into closing the Barsebäck reactor in 1997. After spending two decades on the cause. Now data centers have to wait 10+ years to be connected in Denmark because wind has wrecked the grid. Tragic self-own.
Denmark spent decades building nearly 5,000 wind turbines
Together, they produced 21.6 TWh in the last 12 months
One nuclear plant in Sweden made 23.3 TWh
Oh, and nuclear runs 24/7 — wind doesn’t
There's one big reason Denmark has some of the most expensive electricity in the world

I feel morally obligated to deliver as many antidotes to despair and cynicism as possible. The odds of p(bloom) are so overwhelmingly high. Can't lose good people to the black pill.
Inspiring speech by @dhh for /// Tech Summit about AI, Omarchy and optimistic future. Hope you can join in person next time! Special thanks to @emirbeganovic for the connect.
We can fix smart TVs too?!
OmarchyTV is out in beta
An #Omarchy style launcher for Android TV: themes, Waybar style bar, live stats and a terminal-style screensaver.
It comes with the omarchy-tv plugin, so your Omarchy PC can push themes and share its screen to the TV.
Based on tv-vibehack by @gathint. Built for Omarchy by @dhh ❤️
It's on GitLab for now (my GitHub account is still stuck in review):

I just took the bullet train from Hangzhou to Beijing. The Chinese started building the line in 2008, same year as CA project, and finished the 800-mile stretch in 2011. Three years for a distance twice as long as LA to SF!
I remember when 200tps felt impossibly fast. This is going to be crazy.
DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 runs at 1,521+ tok/s on Fireworks Ultrafast.
Fast enough to ship Tetris in 11 seconds, 7x faster than Claude Opus 5.5.

We can fix everything. Even the very latest M chips!
France, and the rest of Europe, could learn a lot from Japan. Beautiful country, beautiful people. Hope they keep shining the light.
There's nothing more dangerous than weak men and weak institutions. It's a provocation that'll eventually be answered by predators. Not all swords should be turned to plowshares.
Compare to Tokyo. It went from 99% native Japanese to 95% in the same period. I first visited in 2006 when it was 97%. It's almost the same now.

No wonder the people of Europe are hardening in their mood. This kind of replacement is unheard of in peace time. It's OK to notice and to object.
60% of the French say their country is undergoing replacement by non-European populations.
66% of the French view this negatively, and a refreshingly small 9% view it as favorable.

I'm particularly proud of all the internationalization work we've done. Omarchy in Chinese, Japanese, and 48 other languages, complete with input methods to match. And so many new features and apps. This is like three releases in one!
Omarchy 4.5 RC1 is available as a pre-release ISO for both x86 and ARM, as well as on the RC channel. Absolutely packed with features and improvements. Please help us test it! github.com/omacom/omarchy/re…

I used Reverse Engineer Anything to re-create raycast on @omarchy. And I was blown away! In just a couple hours I have a fully-functioning raycast-like launcher! Right now it:
* Learns your habits
* Apps + every Omarchy action in one search
* Aliases & favorites
* Keyboard-first
* Follows your Omarchy theme live, opens in ~40ms

Grok Bot is running Try Omarchy inside its own computer. So you can develop plugins and applications with it. Pretty sweet!
I now have a @Bot with its own Omarchy machine. That’s fricken cool 😅
Here it is switching themes, tiling windows and opening my markets widget. Fairly ordinary desktop stuff, until you remember who’s driving.
It means I can start delegating visual QA for my plugins. Have it open panels, try different themes, check layouts and show me what actually happens on screen.
Still some tweaks needed for cloud setups like this (help a fella out @poteto) but having another pair of eyes and a separate machine to test on is a pretty exciting step.
I gave my bot a Linux desktop. Naturally, I’m putting it to work.
