Quietly, throughout 2026, a four word campaign slogan from North Carolina spread around the world.
Very different from Donald Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again’, or Kier Starmer’s “Growth Growth Growth”
It was:
“Make Stuff Cost Less”.

There is already more unity around @CountBinface than I’ve ever seen in a parliamentary by-election candidate.
It’s pretty simple. Let’s back him.

NEW. Green Party of England and Wales announce they will not stand in Clacton by-election.
Confirming that the Green Party will not stand in Clacton at this by-election, Green Party Leader @ZackPolanski said,
“This is a desperate stunt from a desperate politician whose lifetime of grifting is finally catching up with him. Greens will play no part in his political circus and instead remain laser-focused on winning in the Greater Manchester by-election. If you want to send a message to the establishment, the best way is by voting Green and ignoring Farage’s sideshow.”
A spokesperson for Tendring Green Party said:
“We care deeply about the people of Clacton and Tendring, and we have no intention of helping to legitimise a by-election that appears designed not to serve local residents but to serve Nigel Farage’s personal political ambitions.
We will not stand in this political circus of a by-election.
This contest is not about the people of Clacton. It is about one politician placing himself at the centre of a media spectacle and expecting local residents to play supporting roles in a drama of his own making.
At a time when families are worried about the cost of living, public services are under pressure, housing is increasingly unaffordable, and communities are demanding real solutions, Clacton deserves representatives focused on the issues that matter, not another exercise in self-promotion.
Our focus remains on protecting public services, improving transport, tackling the housing crisis, restoring our environment, and creating thriving communities for future generations. Our loyalty is to the people of this area, not to the ego or the remnants of a career of any individual politician”
