Customer support is fucked up.
You have solo founders here grinding away, responding to free users 24/7, providing outstanding support and getting nothing in return - and with users expecting the world from them.
Then you have financial & government institutions taking thousands from you in fees each year, and absolutely refusing to respond to any of your messages for weeks. It is almost impossible to get any customer support from some of these places..
It's upside down.
If you are a solo founder delivering incredible customer service, take a bow..
.@levelsio is spot on with this. If you're hosting anything right now you've got to get it off the open internet.
Tunnels are a great way to do it, especially on a VPS. If you've got a firewall in front of your server though, there's a simpler option and it's what we run: only let Cloudflare's IP ranges through on 80 and 443. Nothing else gets in. There are only 15 ranges and they publish them, you just have to keep an eye out for changes.
That way everything has to go through Cloudflare's WAF and security first, and they're super quick at rolling out mitigations, often before you've even patched.
One thing to watch: Cloudflare's IPs are shared by every customer, so someone could point their own Cloudflare account at your IP and get straight through. Turn on Authenticated Origin Pulls, and only trust Cloudflare's headers when they actually come from Cloudflare.
Then run a firewall on the box too and patch daily. Seems paranoid, but it's just the first layer.
I got to a tweet more..
I do this every time. I go gangbusters for like a week. And then I forget to tweet for like a week. I got to be more consistent.
Who do you think is going to thrive over the next year?
- Coders
- Designers
- Product managers
- Marketers

Google Analytics has been down the whole day for me. Is it just me or are other people having the same problem?
Good old Twitter...
This is crazy, I've had like 100 followers connect with me from this post over the last 48 hours..!
I guess people like hermits, or deer...
Reminds me of that old joke.. What do you call a deer with one eye? No Idea...
🙏 appeal to fellow builders. Can I showcase your X?
I'm looking for some solo builders here that would be happy for me to show your X profile on a "building in public" page I'm putting together.
It's NOT a testimonial or endorsement, I just want to show profiles of real builders on X. I will show your avatar, name, bio and what you are building. It would be some free exposure for you and you can of course ask to be removed at any point if you change your mind.
If you are happy to be included please just give this tweet a like or a reply to indicate so.
I can't guarantee that I'll include all, but I will try my best.
please please please... 🙏
Claude and I have a little game now. It designs five DB tables. I get it down to two. Every single time...
It's cute.. 🫶
Is Git dead? Genuine question
I use it every day, more than ever tbh. But with a bunch of agents working in the same code at the same time I just can't keep commits tied to features anymore. Too much friction splitting it into branches.
So I end up committing a big checkpoint every few hours. Everything works, tests pass, hundreds of files changed and no clue what belongs to what
Feels like im using it as dropbox now
Maybe a skill issue. How are other people doing this?
Wow, 36 people decided to take me up on my offer yesterday... I'm impressed..
