I think people are underestimating how important a proper general-purpose eco could be to Hyperliquid narratively. It helps flesh out the L1 thesis and allows them to retain and even attract ecosystem talent that could end up creating value for HyperCore.

Btw I remember having a conversation with a former colleague who now works at a multi family office that stated a few of their clients specifically avoid crypto because of the Trump affiliation. Maybe its good we will be forced to shed some of this baggage in the coming years.

If the dems decide to pass the clarity act on their terms while going after ai it should fully signal the end to the short crypto long ai paradigm we’ve been in for a year.

I think there’s a really decent chance we see a hyperliquid <> stars perp contract officially legalized before eoy and then actual deployments to follow soon after. People will be forced to chase the news once again. The CFTC is still able to unilaterally approve a BTC contract.
HYPE and ZEC are probably cooked through the EOY. TLDR: all catalysts exhausted + both tokens are up 4x from the yearly lows. Funds will want to crystallize their profits, some might even target lazy holders who got to comfy and let their guard down. HYPE case is more clear but very hard to time: > HYPE has exhausted all near-term catalysts > $100 ceiling (equivalent FDV to robinhoods mcap) seems to be the rough cap on near-term growth > Hyperliquid benefited from some linkage to being US regulated at some pt, therefore prone to being challenged on this and a dem repeal of any of these tailwinds (although i don't think it matters long-term it could short-term) > Dems expressed they want to shift supervisory power of crypto to the SEC and limit the role of the CFTC which has been contributing all the existing frameworks for exchange access and perp mechanics. Unclear if that's actually a negative, but change is change nonetheless. ZEC case looks a bit more like SOLUNAVAX in 2021. It was: > Its one of >10 tokens ppl think they can hold on a 3-5yr time horizon, so holders got very comfy (too comfy) and have let their guard down > But its a memecoin. There is no such thing as a "Store of Value" other than maybe BTC. It doesn't benefit from the debasement trade other than being pure beta, and we just saw how the beta trade went on AI. > Apart from HYPE, ZEC is likely the biggest driver of uPNL in 2026. Both tokens are up ~4x from the lows. > Tons of uncertainty heading into EOY wrt AI trade, Trump unleashed 0xTraderSam <> Arthur Hayes confluence 🤝

Remember that everyone on CT is tweeting w biases informed by different trading / investing timelines. Most accounts here skew very short term. When there’s mechanical selling happening it is a great time to be buying as a longer term player. Especially if the root cause of that selling is originating from a sector detached from yours. More often than not you will be rewarded for doing this. Some of the numbers coming out of today’s trading day are historical. Think about the times that has happened over the last decade and what direction markets have trended afterwards. The last thing I’ll say is a shift away from Trump actually marks a return to the status quo. There’s an assumption that this regime shift is going to bring dramatic changes to the country’s growth outlook. I’m just not sure that’s ever been the case. Politics will start to matter less again and that’s a good thing.

We’re bringing Power Perps to Hyperliquid, starting with HYPE². If HYPE doubles, the HYPE² index quadruples. Options-like payoffs. No strikes. No expiry. Power Perps bring options flow to Hyperliquid by pooling demand for convexity in one order book. This work builds on “Power Perpetuals” by @danrobinson, @_Dave__White_, @andrewjleone and their coauthors.

This Democratic sweep is actually bullish for crypto. Nothing has really changed other than risk premiums coming down + dollar debasement back in focus. Still on track to finish the year higher.

Today, equity perps can begin trading for the first time on @CFTC registered exchanges. This move reflects my commitment to ensuring that America’s markets remain the most innovative, liquid, and well-regulated in the world. Instead of being forced to turn to offshore, unregulated venues to access equity perpetual futures, Americans may now access equity perps on CFTC-regulated markets subject to robust safeguards. I appreciate the continued partnership of @SECGov and @SECPaulSAtkins as we work to further harmonize our agencies' regulatory initiatives.

I went down a rabbit hole on @Enter_Elysium, Hyperliquid's first L2, and it's genuinely way more interesting than I expected. Why it exists, how it works, and what it enables, all in the video below 👇

When have we seen a new chain launch where the native protocols are actually buying back the network token? Imagine if pump was a net buyer of SOL and not a net seller
🍌 mode on @Enter_Elysium. @bananagun has committed to 40% of net trading revenue fueling $KNTQ buybacks & burns. e/acc

The right way to think about Elysium is that it’s a unionization effort by a bunch of builders who believed in the general purpose vision of Hyperliquid but couldn’t make it work on the HyperEVM. This is bigger than just the Kinetiq team.
