OCTOBER TRANSPORT MONTH CAMPAIGN 🚨 BRIBERY BACKFIRES AT BAPONG WEIGHBRIDGE! 🚨 A driver who allegedly attempted to bribe a National Traffic Police officer with R350 to escape enforcement action has been arrested during an October Transport Month operation at Bapong Weighbridge. The driver wanted to pay his way out of the law after being found operating an unroadworthy motor vehicle on a public road. However, the officer refused to compromise their integrity and upheld the law. Acting Director Aphane applauded the members for their professionalism, honesty and commitment to fighting corruption. Not all officers are corrupt! There are dedicated men and women in uniform who continue to serve with integrity and put public safety above personal gain. NO BRIBE IS WORTH COMPROMISING ROAD SAFETY. CORRUPTION HAS NO PLACE IN LAW ENFORCEMENT... #OTMSA2026 #TransportZA
