Excited trick-or-treaters aren't always thinking about traffic. 🎃 Remind kids to use sidewalks when available, cross at appropriate locations, look both ways and never dart into the street between parked cars.
The "Carolina Squat" is illegal in Virginia for good reason: it reduces visibility and has been linked to fatal crashes. It's a primary offense in Virginia, meaning law enforcement can stop and ticket you for it.
If the front bumper is more than four inches higher than the rear bumper, the vehicle may not be driven on public roads (Virginia Code §46.2-1063). #CarolinaSquat

Congrats to @DRIVESMARTVA on holding a great event at @RichmondRaceway. Nearly 800 teens from across RVA came out over the 2-day Teen Driver Safety Expo for hands-on safety lessons. We shared info about roadside safety & the importance of following VA's Slow Move Over law.
