Introducing Pirate ZK Inference You can now use DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 and other sovereign AI models anonymously: Connect your agent, choose a model, and Pirate ZK Inference anonymizes your personal details before they reach your inference provider like OpenRouter. Featuring zkAPI + a TEE enclaved scrubber model. This is Pirate Face's first feature in its upcoming privacy ladder for AI. Try it below ↓

Why are these new privacy primitives essential? Going forward, AI inference will only play a more and more integral part of daily life. Once that regular dependence on a technology sets in, access becomes essential. A free society cannot persist when intermediaries retain the threats of censorship and surveillance. It is naive to assume their prolonged benevolence. But even with responsible gatekeepers, AI hacks have already shown non-privacy to be untenable. It's not about trusting model providers not to read or sell identity-linked data, but the indefinite lingering question "How safe is that data?" Improving the security of those systems is not enough. We would rather exit the AI-cybersecurity arms race than trust a frontier paced on our behalf. This is the end goal of all efforts in private communications—don't create in the first place a digital footprint that can be held against you. This is why privacy must be a default primitive. And that is why the EF will continue collaborations like this one with @OpenAnonProject to further our mandate. Thanks @l2beat for the shout
Would you like privacy with frontier AI models? Yes? Well, right now it’s impossible, because we don’t know how. But we can try to get closer, which is what @ethereumfndn and @OpenAnonProject have been trying to do by co-developing zkAPI! zkAPI is now listed on our Privacy page. It is a service that offers short-lived OpenRouter keys for ETH through an intermediary called Open Anonymity. You deposit into a shared pool, but your API key request to them contains only a proof that you have deposited, unlinking your specific deposit from the key. xitter.cf/ethereumfndn/status/21…

Most privacy protocols don't make you invisible, they help you blend in with other users. But if your behaviour stands out, it can still give you away. That's why the size of the crowd matters and we've added a new metric to measure this crowd - the anonymity set. An anonymity set is the number of users your transfer could have come from. The bigger that group, the harder it is to single you out.

There's no need to give model providers your identity with your prompts when they can be used for surveillance or just petty advertising. Privacy can, should, and will be by default. Check out this integration of zkAPI and access private inference on Ethereum rails.
I just used @MetaMask to pay for decision models, confidentially, with zero-knowledge. Excited to bring zkAPI by @ethereumfndn and @OpenAnonProject to Sage: - Deposit ETH once. - Generate keys with ZK proofs. - Give a key to your agent. - Your agent makes decisions, and they can't be linked to the wallet you deposited from. Play with it 👇

New post: Exposing an ISA for post-quantum proofs on Ethereum tldr: With EIP-8288, users can prove private, post-quantum transactions on their own devices, and Ethereum nodes verify those proofs outside the EVM. Each proof should show that an app's program ran correctly, so Ethereum has to pick the instruction set (ISA) those programs run on and support it for as long as smart contracts depend on it. The choice comes down to tradeoffs between proving speed, developer tooling, time to ship, and protocol complexity. Which ISA should Ethereum pick?
