The news that Tyler, The Creator and GOLF WANG are teaming up with Barça has caused a sensation. Together with Spotify and Nike, they will kit out the team for El Clásico on 25 October and launch a special collection. Tyler is the first rapper to design the entire visual and audiovisual campaign and the third to feature on the kit, following in the footsteps of Drake (2022) and Travis Scott (2025). However, the story of rap at Barça began 15 years ago. In May 2011, after winning the third consecutive league title of the Guardiola era, Messi revealed on his official Facebook profile that the track “Nuestra B.S.O.” by the Pontevedra-based rap group Delahoja, featuring the Marseille-based rapper Soprano, was the dressing room’s true talisman, playing in the dressing room, during warm-ups and on the team bus throughout the season. The surprise is that the link was Pinto, the club’s reserve goalkeeper at the time and known by his musical aka Wahin. He himself produced the track and the group’s eponymous EP through his label, Wahin Makinaciones. Thanks to this synergy, the team went on to win five titles, including @LaLiga and the Champions League at Wembley, whilst the song reached number 1 on the Hip-Hop/Rap chart on iTunes Spain and the group were able to perform it live in front of 100,000 fans at the Camp Nou.
