"It seemed like it was this huge silent issue that was holding back so many children from getting an education."

Not just women! Trans men & non-binary people can also menstruate.
Some women also *don’t* menstruate for many reasons, including surviving cancer that required a hysterectomy.
GOP mad at this are protecting the patriarchal idea that women are most valuable as uterus holders.

This year's @Olympics marks the first time the games have nearly reached gender parity, with almost 49 per cent athletes being women.
But how does menstruation affect female athletes and what do they do to manage their periods?

In the continuing fight for women’s rights, how do we empower others to stand up and make a difference?

Polly Russell speaks to Amika George in a preview of the final #UnfinishedBusiness podcast.
Periods have been stigmatised for years by the scientific community - and now we're paying the price.
Periods should NEVER be stigmatised, and we're fighting to make sure as many young people as possible can access period products when they need them.

Our founder @amikageorge was recently awarded an MBE.
In @vogue she reflects on why she nearly rejected the award and how she dedicates it to the unsung activists of the past - who in the face of racism and prejudice found strength and compassion.

Today we want to celebrate our partners the @redboxproject who were awarded an MBE alongside our very own founder @amikageorge. We're thrilled that their work to end period poverty has been recognised - well done Anna and Clegg!

It is estimated that over 137,000 children across the UK have missed a day of school due to period poverty. We need to know more about what is going on in schools. Ask any school staff you know to fill in this survey buff.ly/3gq0xZu #periodpoverty #periodrevolution
Access to free period products is just a first step
Until we improve education so that everyone understands menstruation & tackle the prevailing stigma (the former will help the latter!), we won’t achieve menstrual equity
This is why we need a #PeriodRevolution ✊❤️
Some BRILLIANT news! 🎉
Our wonderful founder @AmikaGeorge has been awarded an MBE for services to education!
Congratulations Amika, the #PeriodRevolution continues!

For too long, people who menstruate have been made to feel embarrassed, awkward or uncomfortable, because of this simple, biological function. @motherlondon @StrangeBeastTV and Bloody Good say: #NoShameHere #MenstrualHygieneDay

Today is Menstrual Health Day!
We’ve come a long way in the fight for menstrual equality - but there’s still so much further to go. Everyone deserves the right to a happy, healthy period free from shame and stigma.
