when @BagginsTV casually shadowdrops a stomach-nuker in the september streaming calendar on discord, honestly u just gotta channel ur rage into a meme edit to stop the depressive spiral and trick him into watching it on stream

i've never posted a status about the loss of an artist before, because i always felt so removed - like sure, i love their music, but ultimately, shit happens - but today? today is a fucking sad day. i spent my teens and early 20s loving @Olivertree, way back when he was just 'Tree', and even now, his music is something i would turn to when i needed to think, feel, and look forward with hope. his new releases were something i would always, always take the time to stop, sit down, and really listen to, and the UK leg of the world tour this september was an event, a memory to make, that i've been waiting for since I was 16. thank you, Tree, for the music, but also the lessons - for teaching so many of us that being confident and cool doesn't come from not caring what others think, but from being brave enough to care about the things you care about, loudly and proudly. everyone who met you said you were the kindest soul, with the biggest heart, and the brightest imagination - and if your words are anything to go by, i bet that barely even scratches the surface. and, as one of the many, many people who heard, felt, understood, and finally found clarity because of your music, the world looks a little greyer to me today. if anyone reading this remembers one thing today, please let it be what Oliver always wanted us to realise: that you are your biggest critic, and what you think people think of you is only in your head. if your brain ever tells you that you come across as dumb, or weird, or annoying, and you want to change who you are or how you exist, just remember that you're wrong. "assume that you're wrong, because it happens a lot, though sometimes it's easier pretending that you're somebody you're not, someone needs to tell me when to stop sometimes, sometimes I know, but sometimes I don't" rest in peace, Tree. i'll miss you. #olivertree

it's a randomly redrawin' twitch emotes kinda night
