Here we see the fabrication of history in real time
Jaffa (now Tel Aviv) was ethnically cleansed in April 1948 - no Arab forces moved into the Mandate until after the May withdrawal of British forces
Hey @grok, is it true that 1,000 SS veterans fought alongside the Palestinian Arabs against the Jews in the 1948 war?

At long last, we have given Claude a wet lab, as in the classic sci-fi novel Don't Give Claude a Wet Lab.
If you kill everybody indiscriminately and claim all men aged 16 to 60 are fighters then you also get a 2-1 ratio
The Hamas Gaza Health Ministry claims roughly 72,000 deaths in Gaza. The IDF says it has killed about 25,000-26,000 combatants, a number also reported by President Trump in October 2025. If you subtract 25,000 from 72,000, even using Hamas’s number at face value, you get roughly 47,000 non-combatant deaths, or a bit less than a 2:1 ratio. If you were modest to adjust for natural deaths and Hamas-caused deaths, is likely closer to 35,000–40,000 non-combatant deaths versus 25,000 combatants killed, which puts the ratio closer to 1.5:1. If you compare 2:1 or 1.5:1 to any numbers we have (in many cases we don’t have) for wars, urban centric wars, contested urban battles they will be some of the lowest ratios (in some cases lowest by far) ever seen despite none of those wars or battles had the context of Gaza. For example: World War II – 70 million civilians, 20 million combatants, 3.5:1 Korean War – 2.5 million civilians, 90,000 combatants, 27:1 Iraq War – 280-300,000 civilians, 150-200,000 combatants, 1.4:1 to 2:1 But wait, the Gaza numbers are usually aggregated numbers for the entire war, any death ever reported in Gaza. But if you disaggregate the numbers to specific battles like Rafah, Khan Yunis, Gaza City 2025 for comparison you get different numbers. Based on modest numbers from the Battle of Rafah, the civilian to combatant ratio would be more like 1:100 due to multiple operational variables like the success of civilian evacuations.

Next time you order a Mocha you need to say an Iranian backed Houthi controlled Mocha.
Al Mukha (Mocha) is where cafe mocha (or mocca, mochacino..etc) got its name.
For about 200 years, and starting in the mid 1400's: Port Mocha was the world's primary global hub for exporting coffee.
Yemeni beans were known to be rich, dark and almost tasted like chocolate.
Baristas later just added chocolate to coffee to make the mochachino.
Needless to say this is perfectly normal in every country in Europe with a post-Napoleonic codified administrative constitution - including Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland - just not in the Hybrid UK/GB/E&W and E government at Westminster
A constitutional coup is underway in plain sight - making formal and legal the reality that has been developing behind the scenes for years. The unelected Cabinet Secretary is taking control of the government.
Antonia Romeo - 'the steward and guardian of the constitution' as she calls herself - is getting the power the power to direct Departments' Permanent Secretaries, who formerly only answered to their Ministers.
Labour is replacing democratic command over the state with total civil service control, while the PM is conned into thinking they're streamlining government and empowering himself. thetimes.com/uk/politics/art…
E1 is the final settlement of the One State Solution
Israel can be democratic and Jewish without E1 but must be democratic and secular after it
These two maps graphically display why E-1 is so consequential.
E-1 drives a wedge through the occupied West Bank, fragmenting and fracturing any potential Palestinian state.
.E-1 contributes to a seal of occupied East Jerusalem from its environs in the West Bank, assuring exclusive Israeli control of this binational city, and making a Palestinian capital in East Jerusalem virtually impossible.
Woman who supports the Warrington bombing sez wut?
Everyone should be free to speak their mind and while I undertstand people's fury at this offensive tirade on #PoliticsLive, sometimes it's a free-speech public service for the rest of us to judge others' characters by their own words. When this self-defined queer 'environmentalist activist' decides to stick the boot in to murdered Ann Widdcombe because of her views, we all get to see the ugly underbelly of #BeKind progressivism

In 1998 and 1999, four of Britain's regions and nations voted for devolution. Since then, all have overperformed the rest of the country economically. Even Wales.

Also a bit of a rant about how London isn't the only big city in Britain. tomforth.co.uk/agglomeration…

Hard to put a number on it but the percent likelihood of Trump deploying a nuke keeps creeping up and that should terrify the hell out of everybody.
They attacked Syria and continue to occupy the Golan Heights and they attacked Jordanian troops and expelled them from the West Bank which is now occupied by Israel - and they attacked Egypt annexing Gaza which Egypt administered and the whole of the Sinai

Digital technologies are now central to how we access healthcare, jobs, and government services. They connect us, and divide us, they bring great benefits, but also great harms. Yet we rarely talk about how we want them to serve our nations.
Join us in calling for a future where digital is central — and where we have a say in how it evolves.
This election hustings will feature a range of politicians alongside experts and focus on all the impacts of the digital world on society.
