Thank you, to everyone working at Remembrance Services across the country today. 🫡 Especially those in an overwatch or protective role, who rarely get highlighted, thank you so much. “At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.” #ThinBlueLine 🇬🇧🚨

Did you know today marks the start of Control Room Week? 👀 Across the emergency services, Control Room staff have one of the most challenging roles. Passing critical information quickly to crews and taking 999 calls is a real specialism. Thank you all! 🫡 #HeroesInHeadsets 🚨

Catherine dropped a video from Cornwall today and honestly it's the best royal news this month, which tells you something about the month. She's asked her Centre for Early Childhood to properly research what being outdoors does for babies and toddlers. Not vibes. Actual research. Does a kid who grows up with trees and mud and sky turn out different, emotionally, socially, from one who doesn't? Duchy of Cornwall backing it. William's estate, her centre, their kids' generation. Think about where this comes from. Two years ago she was on a bench in a garden telling us she had cancer. She's said since that nature is what got her through. Woods, walks, sea. Most people come out of that with a memoir. She came out of it wanting to know if the thing that saved her could be built into how we raise two year olds. She's been at this since 2021 when nobody cared. Shaping Us. Baby research with health visitors. Films for nursery workers. Boring stuff. World-changing stuff. All of it will still be there in twenty years. Same week we've had a MasterClass on grief, a tribute act in Nottingham and a memoir about a dress. And then this. A woman who nearly died, quietly making sure the next lot of kids get the thing that healed her. That's the future Queen. Get your kids outside. She's about to prove why.

Prince William is an ex RAF pilot and has a current helicopter pilot licence. He carved out a unique chapter in his life by serving and working as an air ambulance pilot. This role showcased a different side of the future king: one of service, skill, and a commitment to saving lives 🚁🚑❤️‍🩹 His journey into the world of aviation began with his training in the RAF, where he qualified as a search and rescue pilot. This training equipped him with the skills to navigate and operate in high-pressure situations, skills that would later prove invaluable in his civilian role. From 2015 to 2017, Prince William joined the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) as a pilot. Here, he was not just a royal but an active, hands-on member of the team. His days were spent flying the helicopter that ferried critical care teams to accident scenes and hospitals, often under challenging conditions, even at times he assisted with CPR ❤️ This job required not only technical flying prowess but also a deep understanding of medical emergencies, as he needed to coordinate with paramedics and doctors during flights and on the ground. William's role with the @EastAngliAirAmb involved responding to a range of traumatic incidents, including severe road traffic accidents, medical emergencies like heart attacks, and suicide attempts 😔 Many experiences deeply affected his mental and emotional state. One particularly traumatic incident involved a young boy called Bobby Hughes, critically injured in a car accident. This event, among others, led William to internalise the trauma, realising he was "taking home people's trauma, people's sadness," which significantly impacted his mental health 🥺 Despite the emotional toll, these experiences underscored his commitment to public service, showcasing his ability to connect with people on a human level, far beyond his royal duties. His work not only highlighted the challenges of dealing with life-and-death situations but also his resilience and dedication to mental health advocacy, influencing his public engagements and advocacy work post-piloting with initiatives like @heads_together, @GiveUsAShout 💜 and The Mental Health at Work Commitment for The Emergency Services – an unprecedented agreement signed by senior leaders across UK emergency services to implement a uniform set of mental health standards to support their 400,000 staff. The commitment forms part of the Blue Light Together package of mental health support that gives emergency responders, their friends, families and retirees access to a resource website providing specialised mental health information, therapists & advice. bluelightcardfoundation.org/… 🚑🚓🚒🚁 The prince's tenure with the EAAA was marked by humility and dedication. He often spoke of the privilege of being part of a team that made a tangible difference in people's lives, sometimes literally saving them. 🫡 His colleagues praised his professionalism, noting that he was treated like any other pilot, with no special treatment despite his royal status and he’s a highly respected & skilled pilot. This role allowed William to connect with the public in a profoundly human way. It wasn't about royal engagements or ceremonial duties; it was about being there in moments of crisis, offering medical assistance when it was most needed. His work highlighted the importance of public service and the impact one can have when they choose to use their skills for the greater good 😊 His time as an air ambulance pilot was not just a job; it was a testament to his character, showing a man who, despite his royal lineage, sought to serve his country in the most direct and impactful way possible. This experience undoubtedly shaped his perspective on life, duty, and the value of every individual, reinforcing his commitment to public service in all its forms. 🗣️ Luis de la Fuente: “I’m so happy we won the World Cup. This is the happiest day of my life, thanks to Ferran Torres’ goal. But we also need to talk about the VAR and the referee. I have never seen a bigger robbery in my coaching career than this. It looked like they wanted Argentina and Lionel Messi to win it again so badly. The referee was practically Argentina’s 12th man on the pitch. In the first half, there were several fouls that he ignored, but the worst was the challenge on Dani Olmo. Mac Allister tackled him with both feet, which is a red-card offense, but the referee and VAR ignored it. There was also the challenge on Yamal, where a player stepped on his ankle from behind. The referee ignored it, and VAR didn’t intervene either. Argentina should be ashamed of receiving such favoritism in a World Cup final. They had the officials on their side, but we were fully prepared for everything. In the end, football won.”

EL REGLAMENTO ES MUY CLARO. Si un atacante bloquea la salida del portero durante un córner, se tiene que marcar falta.
