Free gifts aren’t actually free.
When you sign a deal that comes with “gifts,” like an $80,000 Hellcat, that counts as taxable income.
That means you could owe roughly $40,000 in taxes out of pocket.
Take your time before signing any deal.

The bigger the check, the bigger the risk.
With WNBA expansion on the horizon and NIL valuations hitting record highs, female athletes are receiving life-changing capital.
As Arianna Jackson puts it: the smartest thing a young athlete can do is start building for tax season and long-term investing from day one, not after graduation.

Through his support and partnership, every Morehouse College student-athlete will have access to Scout’s services 100% free, for life.
NIL to us means Name, Image, and Lifetime.
This is what the future of college athletics should look like. Support for the whole athlete, far beyond their playing days.
Good luck to Morehouse as they take on Savannah State tomorrow for Homecoming!

Last night the Senate passed the Protect College Sports Act, 77-22.
It's the biggest change to college athletics in a generation, and not everyone is celebrating.
1. Put financial literacy on the same level as strength and conditioning.
2. Be transparent. Athletes should see exactly how their dollars are distributed and why.
3. Bring athletes into the conversation. The best systems are built with them, not just for them.
You’re leaving money on the table.
College athletes are often earning 1099 income, which means they’re technically a business.
Expenses they’re already paying can actually lower their tax bills. But only if they’re tracked the right way.
Connect your accounts inside the Scout app, auto-calculate your deductions, and lower what you owe before Uncle Sam comes calling
