Today marks the day Indira ji shed her blood and made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation. She fought for India’s freedom from childhood, led the country to a historic victory in the 1971 war that resulted in the creation of Bangladesh, and ultimately laid down her life in the line of duty.
What is remarkable is that even a leader of her stature had to face the people’s verdict. That is the true essence of democracy , no position, no power and no legacy is greater than the people’s mandate.
It is this very democratic right that the present government is accused of undermining by stealing our votes.

Heartbreaking to see Pahalgam, a paradise on earth deeply loved and cherished by Mufti Sahib, being ravaged by reckless, almost vengeful construction under the patronage of those in power. Nature’s priceless heritage is being sacrificed for quick profits, pushing its fragile ecology to the brink.
God forbid Pahalgam suffers a catastrophe like those witnessed in Uttarakhand or Nepal, leaving this paradise in ruins. Who would visit it then? The judiciary remains our last hope to intervene before this looming disaster becomes an irreversible tragedy.

She also flagged the deplorable drainage, roads and street infrastructure around Jama Masjid, and the pathetic facilities at its marriage hall, urging the concerned minister to address these long-pending issues.
Party President Ms @MehboobaMufti, accompanied by Asia Naqash and @IltijaMufti_, visited the historic Naqshband Sahib Shrine in downtown Srinagar to pay obeisance. She also offered Fateha at the Mazar-e-Shuhada to honour the martyrs of July 13, 1931, remembering their sacrifice as a significant chapter in Kashmir’s history.
