A special thanks to Rebecca John who did such a great job with this project. Also for the funding from International Spinal Research Fund and the @ReeveFoundation, with support from @CIHR_IRSC and CRC
Check out a recent paper by Karim Fouad and my groups examining how reawakening inflammation in the chronically injured spinal cord using lipopolysaccharide induces diverse microglial states

I'm thrilled to share our preprint entitled, "An MRI-informed histo-molecular analysis implicates ependymal cells in the pathogenesis of periventricular pathology in multiple sclerosis".
It has been an amazing journey, thanks so much to all!

Excited that George Melchor @thegliaguy's snRNAseq analysis of CNS #remyelination is now in Biorxiv... Remyelination is complicated, it takes a village. Congrat George on your excellent work! Thanks @Zeebamehrin @Jingwen_SMyelin and @Maryna_Baydyuk for contributing to this study. 😀

New work that builds on the growing evidence for microglia contributing to the seeding of amyloid plaques in a different model of AD. Curious as to whether differences exist between parenchymal and vascular amyloid seeding. nature.com/articles/s41467-0…

New work from Yasmine Kamen shows that differentiating oligodendrocytes are filled with the zymogen procaspase-3. This provides a specific marker for new oligodendrocytes and suggests a role for this pathway in oligodendrocyte fate decisions.

Happy #Fridayfluorescence everyone!
Can't remember what stains these were, but :
1) look at how complex cell morphologies are when you image at high resolution!
2) the amount of cellular debris in a demyelinating lesion pops up!
