🇵🇸 HEBRON | Israeli forces continued their siege of the Al-Jalda and Deir Baha neighborhoods in the largest West Bank city for a fifth consecutive day, raiding and damaging homes, restricting movement, and obstructing aid deliveries. Since Israel launched its collective punishment campaign Friday, 619 Palestinian families have been affected, approximately 3,971 Palestinians forcibly displaced, and 85 arrested. Israeli forces also dispersed a protest against the siege with tear gas, causing several people to suffer gas inhalation, and stormed al-Ahli Hospital, firing tear gas at its entrance and courtyard and seizing vehicles from its parking lot. See footage below ⬇️
“You tell me to go home. Where’s my house? Have you left any house, or any country?” A Palestinian woman shouts at Israeli occupation soldiers blocking the way into the Jaldeh neighbourhood of Hebron, which the occupation army has kept under siege for a fifth straight day. The occupatuon soldiers order residents to go home while barring them from reaching those very homes, then push the crowd twenty metres back. The siege is part of a sweeping military operation the occupation army launched across Al-Khalil (Hebron) after two Palestinians killed two Israeli occupying soldier terrorists at a nearby checkpoint on occupied Palestinian territory. Since then, more than 3,000 Palestinians have been displaced from the city, and occupation forces have ordered families in the Ein Dir Bahha neighbourhood out of their homes before extending raids to Jaldeh and other southern districts. Hebron’s governor says occupation soldiers have arrested more than 70 people, stormed over 500 homes, and sealed the governorate with 128 gates and 120 checkpoints. It was at this same blockade that soldiers kicked and beat Hijazi Shawar al-Tamimi, a 70-year-old mukhtar, as he tried to reach his house to fetch his medication. @palpostn

🗳️ A fight broke out inside a polling station in the Palestinian town of Tira in central Israel on Tuesday, after Arab Knesset member Ahmad Tibi confronted an Israeli settler trying to block Palestinian citizens of Israel from voting, the Palestinian newspaper Al-Quds reported. Video shared by Palestinian politician Mustafa Barghouti shows a tense confrontation inside the station. 🔸 Local sources told Al-Quds that armed settlers were present inside polling stations in Palestinian towns, posing as observers for far-right parties to intimidate voters. The legal rights group Adalah called for urgent action over shortages of Arabic-language ballots in several towns. 🔸 Israel's ruling Likud party also deployed paid teams outside polling stations in Palestinian towns to collect footage and testimony that could be used to challenge the results if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bloc appears headed for defeat, Haaretz reported. 🔸The operation, estimated to cost millions of shekels, runs separately from official election monitors and reportedly covers nearly every polling station in Palestinian communities.

Today, Israelis are voting for their next prime minister. But don’t be fooled. Regardless of who wins the election, Israeli apartheid, ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestinians will continue, because the Israeli government is rooted in settler colonialism and racism.

“The [Israeli] state privileges Jewish citizens over everyone else. My right to vote does not make me fully equal. If I were fully equal, I would be able to purchase land anywhere in the country. I wouldn’t be excluded from places because I’m considered undesirable or not part of the community. That’s what democracy would mean: full equality. Dropping a ballot into a ballot box doesn’t undo the racist apartheid nature of the state,” says Buttu.

“I was released today after about four and a half months of detention.” Dr. Mazen al-Rantisi, a 71-year-old physician from Ramallah known across the West Bank as “the doctor of the poor,” speaks with a fresh wound on his face, inflicted half an hour before his release on October 25, 2026. He says a jailer dragged him to the release room handcuffed behind his back, shackled at the legs and blindfolded, then shoved and kicked him to the ground. Israeli occupation forces seized al-Rantisi from his home in the al-Tireh neighbourhood of Ramallah in June without announcing any reason, and his daughter says he lost around 25 kilograms in their prisons. He describes Nafha prison as overrun with scabies, affecting nearly 80 percent of the Palestinian hostages held there, with almost no medicine given. When prisoners beg the passing nurse for treatment, he says, they are cursed at, mocked and ridiculed, and he was taunted for taking the chronic medication a court had ordered he receive. He calls on international human rights organisations to intervene, saying Palestinian hostages are beaten and punished at the whim of their jailers with no oversight or accountability. @Aljazeeraquds

My close friend, who is also our team’s photographer, was injured in a strike while walking down a street in Gaza City. What happened to him reminded me of a terrifying reality we face every single day: in Gaza, we never know whether we will make it back home alive or whether our families will receive the news that we have been killed. We leave our homes without knowing if it will be the last time we see our families. We walk through the streets, trying to take care of the simplest daily necessities, with no guarantee that we will reach our destination safely. Imagine living in a place where simply walking down the street could cost you your life, where every day you face the possibility that you might never return to your family and could instead become another name among the dead. This is the terror we live with in Gaza. There is nowhere we can truly feel safe. Even the streets and roads we walk along every day are no longer safe. We have been forced to live with the constant possibility of death, trying to hold on to life in a reality that denies us even the most basic of rights: to leave our homes and return to them safely.
