The rich get richer because when the market panics, the middle class sells their investments while the wealthy buy more.

“Are we crazy to spend $5M on a house?” not necessarily. this is what matters: > $600K in annual cash compensation $2-3 million TC) > Significant equity compensation > Substantial existing liquid assets > 6 figures of projected annual surplus cash flow even AFTER taxes, lifestyle, and housing costs a $20K monthly mortgage payment sounds insane to most people. it’s objectively an enormous fixed obligation every month…. but the right way to evaluate affordability isn’t to look at the mortgage payment in isolation. you have to model: > Cash compensation > RSU vesting and liquidation > Taxes across the board > Living expenses > PITI on a multi million dollar loan > Housing carrying costs (above PITI) > Liquidity and downside scenarios then project it all forward. what does the cash flow say? what trade offs are you willing to make? you might find it crazy to spend $20 - $25k / month before spending a dime on your family. but $3M + doesn’t necessarily buy you the house you might want depending on the area….

Not codifying DOGE was the biggest uniparty indicator. Why stop the cash flow for your enemies while you are in power if they aren't really your enemies?
In the early days of DOGE, Trump had a 56% approval rating.

She was unconscious." INSURANCE REP: "You should have verified network status." YOU: "While she was unconscious?" INSURANCE REP: "Our policy is clear." YOU: "So what did $128,160 buy me?" INSURANCE REP: "A member ID card." YOU: "And if I can't pay the $41,000?" INSURANCE REP: "That's between you and the hospital." YOU: "So you took my money for 12 years, and when my wife nearly died, you sent me a bill?" You didn't buy healthcare. You bought a laminated card and a monthly reminder of what you're NOT covered for.

This is the moderate, common sense policy that can really get this country back on the right track!

If costs mattered, not one California politician would ever be re-elected. If results mattered, you wouldn't have uniparty rule in this failed state for a generation. People vote for vibes and the brand. Everything else is faux rationalizing.
Wow, so much wisdom here: “If you think that high prices lost the election for the right, you don't understand marketing.”

The solution is to have a Federal government so small it hardly matters who is in charge.

You'll notice that they didn't answer Dave's question.
Dave Smith confronts the Turning Point USA crew on why they never lifted a finger to defend Thomas Massie, even though he was one of Charlie Kirk’s favorite congressmen. SMITH: “I know that Charlie’s favorite congressman was Thomas Massie.” “So when he was unseated by the lobby for Israel, representing this other wing that you’re talking about, that I guess Turning Point and Charlie didn’t represent, why didn’t you guys lift a finger to defend him?” “Why didn’t the biggest youth outreach Republican organization in the country say anything in the name of Charlie Kirk about his favorite congressman?” Watch how TPUSA responds.

Tonight’s outcome isn’t about placing faith in Democrats or socialist principles; it’s about holding Republicans accountable for betraying their promises. All Republicans had to do was: 1. put Americans First 2. not start another war 3. prosecute sex traffickers

🚨🇺🇸 RYAN GRIM DELIVERS A BRUTAL VERDICT ON WHY REPUBLICANS LOST THE MIDTERMS “If you run a child sex trafficking ring, you then cover it up by waging a war after promising not to wage a war. And that war drives up prices and breaks the global economy. And you spend the time getting rich and pushing money towards AI and data centers, you won't do well in the elections. That's my takeaway.” Grim's explosive accusations go far beyond the usual explanations for the GOP's defeat. But how much of his argument explains what happened at the ballot box? By embracing the croniest of crony capitalism, Trump and the Republicans have so discredited the real thing that they have paved the way for socialism to take hold in America like never before. The road leads to much higher inflation and a much lower American standard of living.

Californians bitch and moan about the problems, the homelessness, the price of gas, the price of housing, the roads are shitty, everything shitty, but then you turn around like a bunch of fucking morons and vote for the exact same thing.

Some dude in California running a 3-person company got voters to give him $4.2 billion by authoring a ballot measure, which passed
Something feels a bit iffy about California prop 38. Doing a popular vote proposed by a 3 person non-profit that gives said non profit $4.2B from the public! I hope Gary is great and knows how to spend $4.2B well because it’s done.

Elon paid over 11 billion in taxes. What did the government spend that on?
Imagine if Elon's $500 million had been spent on education or healthcare. Or the arts. Anything.

America First has a new home in the American Liberty Party
Bret Weinstein announced a plan to turn the Libertarian Party into the American Liberty Party: not a third party, but a second party built on ballot access the Libertarians already have. BRET: And the idea is to take over the Libertarian Party and to rebrand it the American Liberty Party. So you wanna put up the American Liberty Party site so people can see what we're talking about. Now you will see that the slogan here, it says the new home for the America First movement. And I wanna point out that America First is a fraught term. What we mean here is America First in the sort of most obvious sense of the term. American policy should always be in the interests of the American people. There's no excuse for the American government making policy that isn't in the interests of the public. Now, lots of things can be in the interest of the public. Can foreign aid ever be in the interests of the American public? Of course it can. Of course, yes. Immigration, of course. But we have to have a discussion in which the American people's interests are absolutely overriding and we don't have that. At the moment what we have is governmental policy, which is at best indifferent to the wellbeing of the American public. So we are very interested in anybody, any patriotic American who is in line with the values expressed in our constitution, founding ethos of the country. If you want the country to function of those values, then this is the party for you. If you want to use America as a weapon, if you want it to be some kind of ethnostate for certain people, no, that is not what this movement is at all. This is about, frankly, a division that comes down to us and them. I hate to talk in us and them terms, but the us is everybody who wants a system that is fair, that provides equal protection under the law, that provides access to the market for everyone. HEATHER: The us could be nearly everyone. BRET: It should be everyone. It's everybody worth talking to. And the them is anybody who decides that they want something else, that they want special advantages for their people or whatever, or they want to use America as a weapon in some fight that is not our fight. So we're talking about effectively a second party, we're talking about an American effort, but one that is resolutely in favor of either rescuing the West or reinventing it.

The truth will set you free.
🚨 WOW. Gov. Ron DeSantis is GOING OFF right now post-blue tsunami: "I see the ad, 'so and so voted against releasing the Epstein Files.' I'm like, that's a bad vote. We ran as Republicans saying we need to do that. And you have people in Congress voting against release when the Attorney General said she had all the all this horrific stuff on her desk and that people are gonna be held accountable?!" "It's untenable when you have people going in trading stocks! I've never traded stocks since I've been in elected office. How do you have no investment acumen, and then all of a sudden get elected to Congress, and then you're outperforming Warren Buffett?" "I saw how they were running and it was a rejection of what was going on in DC."
