Legacy Youth Zone

Great afternoon at @LegacyYZ cooking with the legend @levirootsmusic and some brilliant young people. 20 years on from Dragons’ Den, Levi is still giving back - sharing skills, building confidence and inspiring the next generation. That’s what it’s all about 👏

👉 Really inspired by Tilisha Goupall and the love she has for her brother Jermaine - love she has turned into action through the @JfjFoundation. Thanks to her dedication, and the support of the @metpoliceuk, @yourcroydon, @LegacyYZ and funders @ReedhamChildren, bleed kits are now in place across Croydon – offering a real lifeline and helping to save lives.

I was pleased to join the launch of the Legacy Youth Zone charity golf day at @TheAddingtonGC, which raised over £55,000 to support the @LegacyYZ vital work with young people in Croydon. It was a pleasure to support Myke Catterall, whose journey from adversity to CEO is a powerful reminder of what’s possible with determination and belief. Myke shared how, on a recent visit to Legacy, another Croydon star - singer Stormzy offered this great advice: “If you’re from Croydon, use that as your superpower.” That spirit of pride was felt throughout the day. Among the supporters was local entrepreneur and Dragons’ Den star Levi Roots, who generously donated his time as a chef for a special raffle prize – a brilliant gesture for a brilliant cause.
