If you grew up in Vancouver in the 50s and 60s and played any sport, there's a high likelihood that you crossed paths with Abbie Bevilacqua.

HUGE shout-out to @pfbvan for allowing us to use their store front for a couple of extra tables. And thank you to the city for allowing this. This is life-changing for us. We have the best neighbours! ❤️

Fifteen years ago, we became the keeper of a lost storefront at 49 W. Hastings Street. Hoping someone out there might help us understand the forgotten tale of GONE WITH THE WIG.
Vancouver goes by many names. Saltwater City. Hollywood North. Vansterdam. Terminal City. Lotus Land. City of Glass. Nofuncouver. This week, @Cinecraig introduced us to another one: Dragcouver. straight.com/living/dragcouv…
On drag culture, how the older generations of drag queens are helping usher in the new, and where @kendallgenderxo loves to eat around Vancouver when not dolled up and performing onstage.

As we continue to find a home for some of our forgotten pieces of Vancouver this weekend, here’s the last supper ever served at Reno’s Restaurant. Now @fablediner.
Tears welled up in the server’s eyes, as she locked the doors after her final shift. We thanked her for all the years. She pulled this chalkboard out from the front window, and thanked us for remembering.
Five years after opening, @fablediner still serves the “Reno Burger.”
