When I started @Braze I didnt know what CRM was, how emails were sent, the concept of a customer journey, segmentation, personalization, or what exactly we should be calling ourselves. I did know I wanted to build a platform where brands of all sizes can communicate with their customers across any device on any channel at scale. I did know I wanted to build an awesome company. One where our customers loved partnering with us and our team loved to be part of. This could not have come together without my co founders @billmag and Jonathan Hyman and everyone in between. 15 years in the making. From our first customer, to an IPO to $900MM+ in ARR. Mazal tov and Cheers to everyone that contributed over the years. There are too many to tag :) Braze will always be part of me and its an honor to see its legacy continue with Salesforce. cnbc.com/2026/10/20/salesfor…

We're a few weeks away from the @mxvcapital 's Summit in NYC. 🗽 On November 10, we're bringing founders, operators, and investors together for an afternoon built around this year's theme: THE NEXT LAYER. AI is moving past the application layer. It's changing how companies operate, how services get delivered, and how technology meets the physical world. We want to talk about what gets built next. I'm grateful to be joined by an incredible group of leaders across AI, software, robotics, healthcare, legal, and venture: mxv.vc/summit 📅 November 10, 2026 📍 New York City 🔗 Register: lnkd.in/ez3QJ8gY

Exactly
Lots of VCs kindof sound like this: "Your basketball team doesn't have a moat, any healthy human can throw the ball into the basket thingy. " People who have not run companies before don't understand how much the team matters more than some imagined structural moat.

One of my many @bot suggested it grabs an email for a task I was working on with it. So we picked an (not knowing that you can only choose one email for your account) email that made sense for that bot and task. I then asked my COS bot to grab an email but he’s saying he can’t bc we already chose an email with the other bot. So now I’m stuck with this very random email address. I pinged support asking to delete, release or do whatever they can to allow me to choose a better email for me and my bots. But they keep saying we can’t help you. Can anyone else at @bot help here?

Two of the biggest VC wins of the year were complete pivots (cursor pivoting from AI CAD and Hugging Face pivoting from a consumer chatbot) For founders, this is a great lesson to never give up till the money is gone

Sierra Co-Founder @btaylor predicts that within 3-4 years consumers will prefer businesses with AI phone agents over those that rely on traditional call centers. "If I have to call a restaurant to make a reservation, I'm going to a different place. If you don't have OpenTable or Resy, I'm out." "I think we're going to get to the point where people demand an AI because they're not going to want to wait on hold. We're not 100% there and we're just paying down the debt of bad tech that we've had for the past 10 years. But I'm hopeful that in three or four years, this will be the norm." "The problem was we had 10 to 15 years of bots that were really bad. If you were talking to an AI more than three years ago, it sucked. Now you can talk to an AI, and it's conversational, it's multilingual, it has access to systems. The AI agents of today are like the horse and carriage versus a flying car." From his appearance on the show earlier this month.

Most people see the result. Very few understand the obsession it takes to get there.

Story of my life. LFG!
My favorite @elonmusk quote that I often send friends: Do not fear losing. “You will lose,” Musk says. “It will hurt the first fifty times. When you get used to losing, you will play each game with less emotion.” You will be more fearless, take more risks.

It’s a bespoke world for software. No longer are customers integrating into your software. You are now integrating into your customers workflows and needs. Headless deployment. Fully customized to their needs.
