Thika Land Row Turns Violent
A bitter fight over land in Thika has taken an ugly turn.
The family of the late businessman Joseph Muiruri Gachoka is locked in a dispute with a firm identified as Floriculture Limited.
The family now says more than 200 men have moved onto the property while a court matter is still pending.

The Attorney General has filed in court that the DCI land fraud has found that the title was illegally removed from AFC and recommends prosecution of the perpetrators.
Instead of the government doing its obligation according to the contract, instead the Government through the registrar of lands, caused the land including the Thika flyover to be fraudulently charged, transferred, auctioned and even charged again. Government share of the land!
In 1988 my father died. All his assets went into probate and my mother is the sole administrator of his estate.
My parents bought the land in 1985 together with the Government from a company called Gatumaini limited.
We were to hold the government share in trust for the government.
Govt was required to mutate, take its share and issue separate titles.
At the heart of this battle is the grabbing of our family land which title also holds the Thika/flyover exit
About 200 Goons entered our property on October 12th and brutally assaulted us destroying property and injuring my family members
