.@JohnNosta was my friend, mentor and confidant. A relationship that spans 26 years -- too short a window. His passing is a deep personal loss and leaves too many unfinished conversations.
The day before he died, we spoke about the future of human cognition. As always, John challenged assumptions, welcomed disagreement and opened possibilities that deserved more thought. His curiosity was matched by his generosity in helping others develop their own thinking. We exchanged throughts about his speaking at the @MarfanFdn 2027 Conference, where we were planning a fireside chat about The Borrowed Mind.
Our conversations moved freely across science, AI, faith, family, our children and the power of words. I will miss his counsel, friendship and the questions that stayed with me long after we spoke.
This @medikalife tribute honors his life and the many people he encouraged to think more deeply. My heart is with Amy, his children and family and all who loved him.

At the VEDS Movement, we convene experts to connect with community. And that makes all the difference. Especially when it comes to helping children with VEDS. Right now in London, our Living Better symposium is happening. Managing VEDS in Children was presented by Dr. Elena Cervi, MD, PhD, Great Ormond Street Hospital, London.
"I’m here to raise awareness and give support to children and families affected by connective tissue conditions. I think the Marfan Foundation has done amazing work in the US raising awareness and providing information and support to the families living with the conditions, something that we are working on improving in the UK and Europe so I think it is important that we try and work together to support the families," said Dr. Cervi pictured here and with Dr. Bart Loeys while presenting the talk.
We're here for the VEDS community around the world. You are not alone.

Book 15 of 2026 : The Glass House by Aman Gupta (@saysaman)
4.5/5* #IcarusReads #GoodReads2026
The Glass House by Aman Gupta is a nuanced piece on leadership, reputation and communication in an age where organisations and leaders are not just visible but also heavily accountable for their actions. It stresses the very sanctified core ethos that reputation is not built during the crisis but is accumulated through everyday conduct. It at one point states - ‘Purpose is not what an organisation claims in a calm year. It is what it’s people default to in a hard week” which resonated well with me.
I personally also found the part around coherence very intriguing as it clearly outlines the gap between what an organisation says what its people do and what stakeholders actually experience. The usage of case studies through the book is very compelling and aid the assertion.
All in all, a thoughtful book about the core architecture of trust and leadership and should be read by leaders in healthcare sector and other industries alike.
