Proud to host today's side-event on the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention #APMBC together with @ICRC.
162 states signed the APMBC. Recent withdrawals represent an unprecedented setback & a risk of renewed APM use & a weakening of humanitarian norms.
NPA is back in Geneva! At a time when IHL is under pressure, it is vital to strengthen our presence in a key multilateral hub, bringing field realities into discussions on civilian protection and hum. disarmament. Thanks @Utenriksdept @NorwayInGeneva for making this possible💚

Its unlawful use as verified by @hrw is unacceptable!
Civilians mist be protected at all times!
NEW: The Israeli military unlawfully used white phosphorus over homes on March 3, 2026, in the Lebanese town of Yohmor.
The use of white phosphorus over residential areas is extremely alarming and will have dire consequences for civilians.

This week at @MineBanTreaty #22MSP in @UNGeneva, States and civil society are affirming the importance of this landmark disarmament Convention. We’ve heard some important updates on progress in #landmine clearance, but are concerned the pace of clearance is too slow in many affected countries. Read ‘Clearing the Mines 2025’ to see the current status and what’s needed to drive forward #clearance and achieve completion. mineactionreview.org
