The Aylesbury group of fonts are united by their chalice-like shape and vertical fluting. Made in around the 12th century, they are mainly found in Buckinghamshire. This one is at St Michael's church in Chenies, Buckinghamshire. #FontsOnFriday 📷 © Rob Farrow (CC BY-SA)

Local families helped build our #ChurchOfTheWeek, Our Lady and St Columba in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear. This Grade II listed church is unique in its bold and impressive 1950s design, which infuses Modern Perpendicular Gothic with Scandinavian and Art Deco elements. 1/5

This striking window, created in 1965 by Keith New, is in Bristol Cathedral. It evokes the Holy Spirit descending upon the disciples in the form of 'tongues of fire'. See it for yourself: nationalchurchestrust.org/ch… #StainedGlassSunday 📷 © Ioan Said
