I had fun yesterday with @ChrisStirewalt on his Sunday show & we geeked out over measuring "the wave". Sorry for so much math, but people need to calm down.
A +15 Dem night matches 1994/Newt "revolution" & +20 matches Pelosi/2018.
(Sorry for math.)

The people that hold Congress together are the Laura Lytle’s of the world. Not high profiles but doing critically important jobs so rest of us can function. Here’s a tribute to her as told through her good friend Joe Keenan. Full interview here:

Dems have two old-timers running in Ohio when the public mood is yet again change. But Sherrod Brown and Marcy Kaptur have been doing the new change thing — blue-collar populism — since Reagan had two more years in his term. @pkcapitol takes a look. washingtonsun.com/campaigns/…
No one has walked the walk on worker issues like @SherrodBrown @Marcy_Kaptur - Dems are rushing to embrace their ethos.
Yet their legitimacy (more than 75 years in Congress pushing agenda) could be their kryptonite.

Supporters in OH told me age & tenure in Washington doesn't matter.
Their mantra: "We need fighting blood", not "new blood."
Brown & Kaptur have fought that fight. Now the issue is whether Rs unyielding ads about how old they are will turn voters away.

I think we all need a reset on what a wave/tsunami looks like in 2026.
If Dems net 20 seats, that’s half as many as they flipped in the 2018 blue wave, but would still tie their final margin from 8 years ago. Dems start this midterm with a much higher floor.
