Amare Almodovar(‘30) Brings Playmaking and Shot-Making to the Backcourt🏀 Almodovar is a rising freshman guard for @scanlanmbb who we covered again during the Super 8 @smartballnyc. In this showing, Almodovar put on a passing display we are beginning to grow accustomed to. He makes the game easy for his teammates. He utilizes a change of pace, ball-handling, and also his physicality to get into the lane. His natural instinct is to find the open man and he does that consistently. He found teammates in the dunker spot and beyond the arc. Almodovar also displayed his on-ball defensive skills. He moves his feet, guards with his chest and has good timing on when to jump the passing lanes. He also had it going from beyond the arc. He connected on multiple catch-and-shoot threes including one coming off movement. Once his opponent respected his range, he attacked a closeout and knocked down a mid-range pull-up. #RipandGo #SmartballClassic #NYCBasketball #Scanlan
