What would change:
🔹 LPs on v3 and Infinity keep 88% of swap fees, up from 66–68% on most pools, across all 11 chains
🔹 CAKE emissions drop from 22,500 to 7,000 per day, with those 7,000 going to the Pantry, our new ecosystem growth fund
🔹 v2 stays the same and keeps burning CAKE, so CAKE stays deflationary

🚨 PancakeSwap Proposes 69% Cut in $CAKE Emissions
.@PancakeSwap "The Flip" proposal is now open for a governance vote, introducing major changes to $CAKE tokenomics
Key changes:
• Lower emissions: Daily issuance drops from 22,500 to 7,000 CAKE, a 69% cut, reducing new supply to about 2.56M CAKE annually
• Trading fee allocation: 88% of v3 and Infinity pool fees go to liquidity providers, with 12% to the treasury. v2 remains unchanged
• Ecosystem growth: The 7,000 daily CAKE emissions will fund Pantry for marketing, partnerships, and new pool liquidity
If approved, implementation is planned for November 2026 through January 2027
PancakeSwap says $CAKE supply has already fallen 11.5% over 18 months, targeting a roughly 20% reduction by 2030
Lower emissions could ease selling pressure, but sustainable demand and ecosystem growth will determine whether these changes translate into long-term value for $CAKE
