Parallel's Monitor API is the perfect shape for the coming wave of proactive agents. Excited for this partnership with @browserbase
Personal Agents like BELL should always know what's happening, without you having to ask.
We partnered with @browserbase to add Parallel's Monitor API to BELL.
Monitor is like a web search that's always on. Now your personal assistant can keep track of the web and alert you when something changes 🔔

Today, your agent asks the web for what it needs.
@paraga expects a lot of that to flip in three years, with systems like @p0's pushing information that wakes an agent up to start work.
Agents on CoreWeave can enable Parallel's search with a single setting.

Monitor the web for things that change - now in slack
Parag Agrawal retweeted
We've been quietly working on a Parallel Slack agent that does one thing incredibly well:
Always-on monitor the web for events and changes you care about.
It doesn't make animations. It doesn't negotiate your phone bill. But if you care about competitor launches, vendor policy changes, or relevant news on X, there is no better way to stay in the loop.

You may not need an agent after all.
We rewrote five agents into decision workflows using @typesafeai's Jev and @p0's Decisions API. The 20-document run took about 20 seconds, cost about two cents and got 19 right.
A few takeaways:
• If the steps are known, use a workflow.
• Decision models are fast, cheap and easy to test.
• Static rules can be expressed in code.
• With Agentrun, you can get the best of two worlds: the agent can write the workflow and handle the cases the workflow can't decide.
