While I very much enjoy the official trailer for our little experience, I suspect this is the best way to experience it.

This resonates especially hard for me because I first joined Apple in 2013. Those first 14 months I worked harder than I ever had in my life. To prove myself, sure, but also because I was surrounded by so many brilliant, passionate people. Back when we all wrote code by hand, it was a point of pride to do it well, to craft something that behaved well, that respected the user’s intellect and their aims.
Years later, Gary interviewed me when I was a candidate to join the Human Interface team. One of the things he impressed on me, since I was applying to build internal design tools, was the importance of not narrowing the set of possibilities too early in the process, of not “working thin.” A good, correct, fitting design only emerges when you allow yourself to rattle around in possibility space for a while, maybe longer than seems reasonable.
I didn’t stick around long enough to see the apotheosis of the vision we had for some of those projects, but I’ll always carry that consideration with me. And I think now—especially right now—when the bots write most of the code, there’s still an awful lot that humans can and should have a say in what the future of software looks like. I will forever esteem my colleagues at Apple for keeping the Human at the forefront of human-computer interaction.

In 1968, CBS aired a documentary called Black History: Lost, Stolen or Strayed. One segment showed something uncomfortable: side-by-side comparisons of famous European artists and the African sculptures they copied. Paul Klee. Picasso. Modigliani. One after another. The African artists? Unnamed. Uncredited. Called "primitive." The European copies? Displayed in museums. Taught in schools. Called genius. Bill Cosby said it plainly: "When you look at this copying, you gotta give us a little more than rhythm. You gotta give us style."
“I’m/we’re so excited/can’t wait/thrilled to show you”, prediction… I’ll go 12 this year. #wwdc

Did BlackPlanet invent social media; it was a groundbreaking pioneer, launched in 1999 before Myspace (2003) and before FaceBook (2004). MySpace founders stated they used BlackPlanet as a model for their platform. BlackPlanet was the blueprint for these white social media

On this day in 1951, Florida’s NAACP President Harry T. Moore and his wife Harriette Moore, were killed on Christmas Day when their house was bombed by racist terrorists in Florida.
The Moores were the first NAACP members to be murdered for their civil rights activism.
The difference is just one is objectively measurable and the other is subjective interpretation.
Personal best:

I’ve literally never seen a black foetus illustrated, ever.
This is amazing @ebereillustrate

Quite surprising that if you ask Google Gemini to create a video using Google Veo, and even provide it the docs on Google, it just… can’t quite figure it out. #google #Veo3 #googlegemini
