Protecting Florida’s students, educators, and school communities is a shared mission. Tim Hay, Executive Director of our Office of Safe Schools, reinforced that message this week in a conversation with education leaders on emerging school safety challenges—and how we can break down silos, strengthen collaboration, and work together to create safer learning environments. We’ll continue providing the resources, tools, and support needed to keep our students and educators safe.

Presidential pardon recipients still barred from buying guns The Federal Bureau of Investigation has denied recent firearm purchases by both Pastor Russell Fincher and Patrick “Tate” Adamiak who were each pardoned by President Donald L. Trump nearly two months ago. Adamiak tried to purchase an Auto-Ordnance semi-automatic Thompson, which had engraved images of President Trump. Fincher tried to buy a Smith & Wesson Victory handgun. Each completed an ATF Form 4473, but each was denied by the FBI. Both Adamik and Pastor Fincher received Presidential pardons, which were signed by President Trump Sept. 3, 2026, but neither man’s Second Amendment rights appear to have been fully restored. ATF Director Robert Cekada was quick to point out that his agency had nothing to do with the denials. “I am fully aware of that, but it has nothing to do with us,” Cekada said Friday morning. “We don’t block anybody. The 4473 goes to the FBI. Anyone who gets a denial on a background check gets denied by the FBI.” The FBI requires members of the media to submit their question via email. Questions were sent Friday morning, but so far, the agency has not called or sent a response. “It’s frustrating,” Fincher said Friday morning. He ordered the Smith & Wesson handgun through a local dealer. “I told him he’s going to have to sell it to someone else,” Fincher said. “If I want to buy a firearm, I guess now I have to buy it from an individual.” Adamiak said he also experienced problems with a denial by the Pennsylvania State Police instant background check system. “I filled out an appeal and mailed it to the state,” he said. “They won’t accept digital submissions, and they have up to 30 days to make a decision.” The state and federal systems are not communicating, he said. “We’re both cleared,” Adamiak said. “Every day we can’t get a firearm is a day we can’t defend ourselves. Our Second Amendment rights are being violated. We each have presidential pardons.” The Second Amendment Foundation’s Investigative Journalism Project wouldn’t be possible without you. 🚨🚨 THE ILLEGITIMACY PLAYBOOK / THE DEMOCRACY FILES: A PRIMER 🚨 I will be using this thread to track all drops, so bookmark it. I spent most of yesterday backing everything (now 312 gigabytes) up in various sources and getting the materials out to others. I also produced an AI video (below) to explain the whole thing to others are not on 𝕏 - feel free to distribute. Here's the primer: USAID, the foreign aid agency, had a democracy office. Inside the agency, it was called DRG. Officially, DRG administered "democracy assistance." They'd go inside countries they thought were sliding into authoritarianism and help the opposition there. That assistance included election monitoring, judicary support, independent media, and civil society building. You may have heard the term "color revolution." The model comes from Serbia in 2000, where trained student activists brought down Milosevic with the help of Western governments, after sustained protests. With the help of USAID's democracy office, this model was implemented in many other countries to topple governments: Georgia's "Rose Revolution" in 2003, Ukraine's "Orange Revolution" in 2004, and many more. Then last year, DOGE shut down USAID. But the USAID democracy office didn't stop. They formed a group called the Democracy Renewal Group, the same initials as their office (USAID Democracy, Human Rights, Governance). Their goal: apply their own playbook to the United States itself. This goal became a plan, called Renew American Democracy (RAD). It invoked the "4 B's" framework. Block - use lawfare and protests to make life harder for the Trump administration. Bridge & Belong - control dialogue and win people over. The final and most important B is Build. Build means redesigning the American government itself, and the crisis is the opening. In their own words: "We can take that breakdown moment and leverage it for a big structural reform, you know, refounding moment." - Danielle Reiff, DRG lead. Calls show DRG working alongside DSA on ideas of creating a different government, one that does away with the Constitution itself. DRG does not run the Block operations. They hand it to UDA, the United Democracy Alliance. One organizer calls it a "huge galaxy": lawsuits, street protests, non-cooperation. They list No Kings, Indivisible, MoveOn, 50501, and many other mega-activist NGOs among their members. Another organizer calls UDA Erica Chenoweth's project. Chenoweth is the Harvard professor behind the three-and-half-percent rule of regime change: get that share of a country's populace onto the streets, and historically, the movement wins. The UDA is very "hush-hush." They have no website, no roster, no filings. Then come the red lines: things the Trump administration could do, such as calling the Insurrection Act on protesters, that would mean that the federal government, in their words, "crosses the threshold into illegitimacy." Nobody voted on those lines. There was no public debate. These red lines were developed within secretive working groups, and in a paper addressed to governors and staff. In the words of Reiff/DRG: "So that if there is a red line crossed in terms of a Constitutional crisis, like everyone's already pre-organized. And so Mike Smith actually said, he goes, oh, you guys have the day after tomorrow plan." Cross a line, and the paper's options include states refusing to lend their resources to federal officials, and governors convening what it calls a "Third Continential Congress." Running the UDA's Insurrection Act working group: Rear Admiral Mike Smith (RET) of National Security Leaders of America (NSL4A). NSL4A is also credited with operationalizing UDA, the blocking operations. NSL4A consists of about 1,600 ex-officers, spies, diplomats. They're turning red lines into indicators and running a situation room to monitor them throughout the midterms and beyond. The NSL4A's lawyers told them to stop recording meetings in case of subpoenas. But the rest of the network continued to record. DRG works in conjunction with Renew to Thrive (R2T), which ended up accidentally publishing 400+ calls and thousands of documents. These calls and documents were never meant for our eyes, but it's them, on tape. Thousands of NGOs and billions of dollars are involved in this endeavor. Most of them believe they're saving democracy. The problem is that people who spent their careers deciding when other countries' governments had lost their legitimacy wrote that test for ours, in private, and planned for what comes after. Who decides when your government is legitimate?

In just the past seven years, property tax revenues across Florida’s 67 counties have increased nearly 100 percent. Local governments are taking in almost twice as much money—for more than the inflation in population has increased. The State of Florida has reduced its budget FOUR YEARS in a row. Local governments can surely do the same. Amendment 3 creates a path to full elimination of property taxes for homesteaded Floridians. It also provides immediate and meaningful relief for Florida residents by expanding the homestead exemption from non-school property taxes. Vote YES on Amendment 3!

Let me explain reality… if you have but sixty seconds: They were targeting Elon They were targeting him with fake charges because the socialist-industrial complex is terrified that he would expose their long grift. They came after him for the Model 3 and Elon’s claims around its potential. That potential was realized, and it became, along with the Model Y, the best-selling electric vehicle ever created. These were fake charges to try to stop somebody from building the best category-defining product. Let that sink in: that's how evil these motherfuckers are. The loooooong grift has been exposed: socialist grifters are stealing our tax dollars to fund fringe lunacy, NGOs and government programs without oversight or audits. They’re parasites incapable of creating any product or service that has to compete in the open market. Elon creates a couple of cutting-edge products each year, and half of them succeed. Some of them actually change the world. Some of them fail brutally. It's called capitalism. It's called creation. This is what moves the human condition forward: trying things. Trying really hard things. Socialists come for the people building valuable products and services — that’s the tell Keep your eye out for the people who've created nothing and risked nothing, but who are attacking the people who risk everything to create Something. That's the tell.
Kara Swisher says Elon Musk might be in jail right now if Kamala Harris was in office and “he knows what’s coming” if Democrats take back power.

You never learn. You know how last Thursday’s attack was stopped, right? Thank God an armed, prepared citizen was willing to confront evil in your fairy tale gun-free zone.
Read this article about the childrens' lives that have been forever changed by 3 minutes of terror. Then go down to your early voting site and vote out every politician who cares more about the gun industry than our kids. cnn.com/2026/10/17/us/bend-o…

Second amendment doesn’t seem so crazy when you witness a shop keeper trying to defend their property and livelihood does it?
France. A father defends his shop. His only source of income to feed his wife and children. They mock him. They beat him. They destroy everything. These are not criminals, they are terrorists. Europe is dying.

Another bogus claim by the @AP, @JimVertuno "Few mass shootings in the U.S. end like the deadly attack on an Oregon elementary school: with an armed civilian opening fire on the gunman." koin.com/news/national/ap-or… WRONG. The media won't cover them, but there are lots of mass public shootings stopped by legally armed citizens. crimeresearch.org/2023/06/ub… Lots of active shootings stopped. crimeresearch.org/2026/09/ma…

We fought hard to put armed staff in every school in Florida. It’s unfortunate that Oregon chose another path leaving its schools vulnerable. Fortunately, an armed citizen stepped in and stopped an active assailant. More armed Americans make these attacks less likely.
🚨#UPDATE: Police Chief Mike Krantz praised the heroic citizen who intervened to stop the monster and the teacher who fought him to protect her students. “When someone is willing to risk their own life for others, we recognize that. And the quick thinking to observe, to then park, and then follow someone into the school is incredible.... “The teacher who is willing to stand and fight for her children. Incredible. “We don’t see that a lot in society, and we recognize it when we need to.” God bless these heroes.🙏

I'm still waiting for gun control advocates to name any measure short of total confiscation that: (1) Oregon didn't already have in place, and (2) Might even remotely have mattered in this specific instance.

Thank God an armed citizen heroically violated a law you helped pass, on his way to killing a gunman who readily ignored all the other laws you promised would stop him.
Police have shared that three children, ages 5, 8 and 11, and one teacher were fatally shot at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon. A 7-year-old was also injured. America's gun violence crisis is killing our babies. Enough is enough.

Press conference confirms it. A gunman at an Oregon elementary school was taken down almost immediately by an armed member of the community who saw the gunman enter the school, pursued him, and ended the threat. Cops arrived to clear and secure the scene.

"I issued guidance to [districts and charter schools] about culling, getting rid of, inappropriate, sexually explicit, pornographic material from our libraries and our school classrooms." "The idea that there would even be an opportunity to pull a book off the shelf and see GRAPHIC PORN is UNACCEPTABLE." Commissioner @HenmackIII
SEXUALLY EXPLICIT and INAPPROPRIATE content has NO PLACE in Florida schools. Florida school districts will be held ACCOUNTABLE for failing to protect our children from this type of content. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
