Shelby of @ColorCasters and I are writing a business book from the work we actually do. I’m bringing 40+ years in color, print, and running companies. Not theory. The stuff that shows up when you’re trying to grow: customers, messy days, and keeping it simple. I post about that here. For the short version of who I am, start with @ColorCasters. Oh, and I cruise too much.

I should be at my desk but I’m on the patio. It just never gets old.

The new office view is acceptable.

Well, ya I cruise too much it’s in my bio silly. 😂😂😂😂

1. You cruise too much and their feed gets seasick. 2. All that color talk blinds the black-and-white crowd. 3. Biz book updates without the finished product. 4. Basecamp flexes make email addicts feel attacked. 5. Travel scrambled-brain posts hit too close to home.

Nothing like scanning the 9 year old wet ink signed operating agreement into Adobe scan to send to the new firm representing us. This message is primarily for my lawtwt friends. 😁

Hey @grok What are 5 reasons for people to unfollow me?

It's a Tuesday that feels like a Monday. I've been traveling a lot for work and fun. My brain is a little scrambled. I once again skipped email completely, went to @basecamp where we set the agenda for the day. Email is just a list of people people asking me for stuff and most of them not compensating me in anyway. In basecamp, out little team keeps current on the tasks and projects that matter most to us and our success. I'll circle back to email this afternoon, or not.

Hey all, big ask. Prayers up for my cat lady friend @AnnaDsays She and @BuckWilde_ could use all the positive mojo the X fam can generate. And a prayer or two for @oh_ziggy is okay too, I guess. 😻
And away we go! Catch y’all on the other side. GM!

What’s actually the worst is this Dodgers Dorks not being able to simply sit back and watch the game of baseball played in a way they simply cannot comprehend. Other Dodgers loyalists have happily admitted this is a unique and special team setting records. Did you watch the 7 hit 2 out rally last night? That was a World Series record. So, be a poor loser if you must but try doing it while letting the Brewers fans enjoy a moment.
Worst part of this brewers WS win is gonna be their dork fanbase trying to force this team into every “best team of all time” discussion

Wisconsin sports fans travel. I mean it’s also Fall there so who doesn’t want to be in Florida?
Just talked to some #Rays fans who were jarred by the amount of #Brewers fans at the Trop. "Every time we try to start a 'let's go Rays' chant it gets overtaken by a 'let's go Brewers' chant immediately"

I don’t hate AirBnB. I just believe it’s a business model that in no way fits how I travel. I spend 150+ nights a year in hotels(for business) and on cruise ships(for fun). I love the way big hospitality treats loyal travelers. @MarriottBonvoy is a great program as is @RoyalCaribbean Crown and Anchor society. I’m sure for some folks AirBnB works, just not for me and I have tried. Receipts attached.
Breaking news to all the AirBnB haters: You pay for the cleaning in the price of the room at a hotel. It’s not free. And to compare billion dollar businesses that have cleaning staff at scale to a mom and pop operator is ridiculous.

For those following the move to Florida: I knew my office space here would be different, but the first try in the guest bedroom didn’t quite cut it. This is my new office along one wall of the dining area. The desk will be replace with one that matches the bookshelf and a second bookshelf will go to the right of the desk. Best of all this window has the sunset views I share so often.

Cruise hack. Politely ask your server for things off the menu (and then tip well). The fruit plate has like one berry. I present Jim’s version.

Another night of sharing multiple desserts. Last time until we are back in a couple weeks. Need to lose some weight between now and then. 😂

On the way to dinner we passed the barf bags on the stairs. I guess the crew is expecting some pour souls will need them once we come out from behind the protection of the Bahamas. Personally I love a good rock and roll show!

Both sides are tying to massively influence elections with what I can only call propaganda and conspiracy theory nonsense. Is most of it loosely based in fact? Sure. Do the facts then get stretched and manipulated to fit the narrative? Yep. So, vote your conscience and know this is why I will remain politically homeless the balance of my life.

Clearly a satire account, right? “Here in Europe” - superiority complex much? As for you cleaning fee, it’s BS and attitudes like this that keep me loyal to Marriott and Hilton around the world. Why would I want to put up with your petty rules when I can pretty much leave a hotel room however I want (assuming I have broken nor stollen anything.) This guy has to be going for parody - right?
Recently I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about being asked to clean an Airbnb when they’ve already paid a cleaning fee As a host, I find this attitude quite worrying My wife and I rent out the apartment in Germany. We charge a €145 cleaning fee, and we still expect guests to: 1. Strip the beds and start a wash, separating whites from colours 2. Wash, dry and put away all dishes 3. Sweep and mop the floors 4. Take out all rubbish, separating paper, cardboard, clear glass, coloured glass, plastics, metal, organic waste and residual waste 5. Take bottles with a deposit to the supermarket return machine. 6. Send photos showing the apartment is ready before the 8:30am checkout These tasks must be completed before departure. If you have an early flight, allow time the evening before The cleaning fee pays for professional cleaning. It does not pay for someone to pick up after you Here in Europe, we teach children to leave a place as they found it I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect the same from adults on holiday

The single most important aspect of tonight’s Brewers win is maintaining home field. For the Rays to win the series it now has to end in Milwaukee. Congratulations to this team that finds ways to win!
