After the first collection, automatic updates will focus on new original comments only, not replies. We’ve now introduced Combined Statistics on Reality TV Stats! You can now see X/Twitter and Facebook reactions added together in one leaderboard, giving a bigger picture of what viewers think about each contestant. We’ve started with Big Brother from Week 7 and Strictly Come Dancing from Week 5, which aired last weekend. For Strictly Come Dancing, our Facebook statistics will focus on the official leaderboard post published each weekend. For Big Brother, we’ll select one or two Facebook posts following each episode. Facebook comment collection will remain live until later the following evening, when comments typically start to slow down. This allows us to capture more reactions after the episode has finished. We’ll aim to collect and analyse as many Facebook comments as possible. However, due to Facebook’s restrictions on accessing comments, we cannot guarantee that every comment will be included in our statistics. As Reality TV Stats continues to grow, we’re seeing more visitors using the website every day. We’ve recently experienced some slower loading times, so we’ve been making major improvements behind the scenes to help the website run faster and more smoothly. We’ve already made significant changes to how our system processes large amounts of data, and we’re now working on saving completed results so they can be accessed much faster without having to recalculate everything each time.
