I didn't reach my athletic peak until I was 43.
I didn't write my first book until I was 44.
I didn't start my podcast until I was 45.
At 30, I thought my life was over.
At 52 I know it's just beginning.
Keep running. Never give up. And watch your kite soar.

You get better during recovery, not during training.
Whoop founder Will Ahmed says the very best athletes (the 1% of the 1% of the 1%) are obsessed with the 20 hours a day outside practice. For a healthy weekend warrior, raising HRV 5 to 10% in a year is a big win.

Just wrapped up Finding Ultra by @richroll! 📖🏃♂️
Pretty cool timing considering he just ran the NYC Marathon this past weekend!
A powerful story about sobriety, endurance, and discovering what you’re truly capable of.
One of my favorite takeaways: There are no finish lines.
Definitely recommend adding this one to your reading list!

On the summit of Everest, Jim Morrison scattered the ashes of his late partner, Hilaree Nelson. Then he became the first person to ski Everest’s direct North Face, a journey captured in the new film “Everest: The Other Side.” Today on the pod, Jim shares from the heart. This one will make you want to go hug your people. Go give it a listen.
I had the best day on the best day to be in the best city in the world—supporting double amputee Cedric King across the finish line at the NYC marathon.
A celebration of turning 60, Sunday was my first attempt at a new relationship with endurance. To use it not for ego driven reasons but as an opportunity to be of service.
If you want a big life, make it about something much larger than yourself.
That is my experience. That was my experience this past weekend—a marathon of a day that became a peak life experience I won’t soon forget.
My message is this: I get getting after your goals. Be determined to turn your dreams into three-dimensional reality. But do your best to tether them to bettering others. Transcend the ego’s attachment to external validation and you will be rewarded with a purpose-driven life of profound and deep meaning.
Why I don’t give a shit about the algorithm: this article does a decent job of explaining my entrepreneurship journey and digital creator philosophy (lifted/based upon my recent appearance on the Masters of Scale podcast). thewantrepreneurshow.com/blo…

Patrick Stewart says his biggest regret is the things he never said to the people he loved and not being vulnerable sooner.
“Being brave, being open, being sensitive to other people, tuning into them, becomes more and more important to me.”
He regrets the things he never got to say to his family.
“I wish I could go back, There are things I would like to say to my parents and my brothers that I never said. That makes me very, very sad.”
He’s learned the power of vulnerability.
“Being vulnerable is the primary objective in my life now, with those I care about.”

Rest in peace, Sir Patrick Stewart.
In a recent interview, he shared a personal experience of occasionally hearing voices, which he thoughtfully interpreted as a connection with the afterlife, and expressed a sincere hope of witnessing further developments around reported UFO phenomena.

So much for the crossover of Nathan Fielder interviewing Patrick Stewart about being choked by ghosts at open houses- youtu.be/EkTUXuHQLvs?si=AnwB…
~Rich Roll podcast, 2023
Sir Patrick Stewart reveals he lived in a haunted house in Los Angeles and the paranormal experiences are actually terrifying.
“I came home one day... my son said, ‘Oh thank God you’re home. Let me show you.’ We went into my sitting room where I had a lot of bookshelves, and all the books were scattered across the floor.
I said, ‘What have you been doing?’ He said, ‘I didn't do anything... suddenly all these books were thrown.’ No earthquake. There was a place in the hallway... just before I reached the stairs I always walked through this icy zone. It was just, the temperature instantly plummeted.”
Stewart eventually rented the house out, only for the new tenants to call him with a terrifying update: their child saw a man standing exactly in the spot where the temperature used to drop.
The neighbors later confirmed a man had died in a violent car accident while living in that house.
Do you believe in ghosts, or is there always a logical explanation?
